Glenn Beck on his show just discussed this. He brought up Freerepublic in the context of other sites scrubbing the article. There are other threads up and more than likely there were some personal attacks on the kids. I am sure it was not Freerepublic protecting the administration.

Sounded like the mods were deleting so many nasty posts, that they just deleted the whole thread. And when someon else posted the story, the same nasty comments started, so they deleted that one,... etc.
And no Obama daughter is on spring break, at taxpayers’ expense, in Mexico with her school mates.
The gun pics are a scream. Id say they have a better than avg chance of shooting themselves or a companion than anyone/thing else. It may make for good stage play but they should get some training before venturing out in to the real world.
