More like people who see no future for themselves; at this point they have nothing to lose. I know a guy who went to school to jump on the public-school-teacher gravy train, and after driving an hour and a half to substitute teacher assignments for years while waiting for a permanent assignment (and that sacred tenure) he realized it would never happen, so he went back to school for nursing. He works now like the rest of us, but the experience has taught him a lesson - he had “skills” that won’t be in demand again here in NJ for decades.
Same for law enforcement; we just let a bunch go, and the few places that are hiring seem to be looking to bring them on board (already trained, etc.). Where else are those former cops going to work? I know some have headed south; there is simply no future here in NJ. The days of the $100K+ cop & teacher are over; we just can’t afford them (thank you Governor Christie).

Obama better hope they’re not around in the fall; they received news coverage briefly while Obama pretended to be at their forefront, but that quickly failed (the freaks are down on Obama; they thought he would “fix” this). Since then the coverage they do get is negative.

I bet they never even held a summer job as a teenager. According to Rush a lot of them are trust fund babies. Even if they are not, most are still in college and not in the real world.
As for cops and teachers some state is always hiring. Maybe not the state you are living in but some place always is. The WV state troopers are always looking for good men and women, so send your man here!
Nurses? Send them here too! Nothing wrong with West Virginia. We have a lot of hills but that is cool.
Teaching? That is a b!tch everywhere. so skip it.
They should have forced the dumper to also be the cleaner, but that probably would have upset the city unions who see the removal of urine and feces as their job.
I remember when these protests started; they received little coverage, and the protesters were clean-cut whites who had lost a lot of the financial sector jobs on Wall Street. Their signs and interviews indicated their displeasure with Obama, so they were given no air time. As time went on, other radicals showed up for every cause on the left, and it became the freak show you see today.
NJ is out of money; nurses can find work here because the state isn’t the employer. Teachers hang on into their 70s if possible because they make A LOT of money here in NJ and they don’t have to do any work; the cops are let go because their unions aren’t as strong.

What was dumped may be cleaned up and the dumper may be locked up but the disintegration of the country that is behind the dumping is not repairable. I have no desire to even visit NYC but I don’t want to see this kind of thing happening anywhere in what used to be a great country. We have reached the stage that it is possible for a great coutry to once again arise on the soil of what used to be the USA but the USA into which I was born is gone. Things are going to get much worse before there is any possibility that things will get better.
