What was the owl picking up?
Yikes!
Gorgeous wings.
Magnificent creature.
Our God is an awesome God.
Another breathtaking gift from the Creator. Thank you.
Nasty if you’re on the wrong end of them.
I want no part of that.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Ping for later video retrieval...
My wife and I have a funny story...we were driving up the Kangamangus Highway in New Hampshire a few years ago, and saw a large, patterned wing flip up on the side of the road and pulled over.
Apparently, a Barred Owl had hit a truck, and was lying stunned on the side of the road, one wing apparently broken. We didn’t want to just leave it there, so we got a large zipper duffel and put the unfortunate bird inside and zipped it about 7/8 of the way to allow some air in.
We found a phone, called the local police and asked if they knew of any organizations that would accept an injured bird, and surprisingly, they said there was a privately owned “Raptor Center” about 10 miles from where we were. Hmm...coincidence?
We got back in the car and began driving, and the bag began moving rather vigorously, and a large, taloned leg came out the opening, then the other! The stunned bird had apparently awoken, and didn’t like where it was! I had the bag on the floor between my legs, and before I could move far enough away, one of the taloned legs got my blue jeans, and wouldn’t let go...
Heh, I had my wife pull over disentangled the talon which was pretty close to my skin, and managed to get both legs back in the bag and still leave some unzippered space for air.
We dropped the bird off, and they called us a few months later to tell us they had successfully rehabbed and released the bird.
The coolest thing was, while the Owl was stunned and out, I was taking a good look at it in the bag...just amazing. What an intricately put together predatory weapon...and beautiful, too.
Amazing simply, amazing!
Remarkable and beautiful Bird! I would like to see the video it at full speed! Now that would make a person really duck!

The raptor is an assembly of systems working together, eyes, wings, nerves, muscles, structures, talons, ears, all doing exactly what they must in milliseconds.
Sorta looks like it was designed that way. Either that, or it was a long series of remarkable coincidences.
