Agenda 21 Action Thread ^ | 3/23/12 | TEXOKIE

Posted on 03/23/2012 4:34:41 PM PDT by TEXOKIE

A few days ago I realized that we who are participating on the Agenda 21 thread have amassed an impressive amount of data and links which are quite important for the educating of anyone who is wondering what “Agenda 21” is all about.

There is absolutely no question in the minds of any of our participants at this stage that “Agenda 21” is real, and is NOT a tin-foil hat conspiracy. There are quite a number of people on this forum who were way ahead of us, and have been quite patient with us while some (like myself) have played catch-up.

The link to the original Agenda 21 thread, with all the previous data, links, and discussion can be found here:

With this new thread, I am proposing that we continue our practice of collecting data and links to relevant articles, but I would also like to see discussions and brainstorming, advice, ideas, on WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT?? Nuts and Bolts. Baby steps. Giant steps. Letters to the editor. Letters to representatives. After action reports. Putting into practice the overcoming of the Delphi Techniques practiced by Sustainability Meeting Facilitators. Ways to educate our fellow citizens. Etc.

What say you?

It’s the “and for other purposes” part of the title that has me worried—specifically Section 40304: “Revocation or denial of passport in case of certain unpaid taxes.”

Its called the Conservation & Preservation tax or something like that. The tax comes out to abt $11 per $100k of property value. But it’s just the first year - once the chiefs get a budget and staff, it’ll be an albatross on homeowners. Just as Agenda 21 wants.

1. For New Rochelle Freepers:
“Side by Side Comparison of Original Local Agenda 21 Plan for New Rochelle (GreeNR) to Final Version” from Talk of the Sound
...”many of the concerns we raised were raised at Council. In some cases, items we identified — requiring homeowners to pay to upgrade the lateral lines from their house to the City sewer system when selling their home, displaying private information from Con Edison on electricity usage — were removed from the revised GreeNR plan. Others however, such as the GreeNR Seal and the “Green Lien” programs, remain.”
Yes, it really IS mandatory!

2. For a short discussion of the role of science in political matters: “Physicists View of “The Precautionary Principle.” from The Climate Sceptics Blog
“Science has NOTHING to do with how many supporters you can count amongst those you deem worthy in the scientific profession...”
“...The proper application of the “Precautionary Principle” involves taking all reasonable precautions without going to extremes. In automobile safety, for instance, that involves wearing a seat belt but not giving up driving altogether. In Global Warming it involves addressing all of the self-serving hysteria long before undertaking any “remedies” for what is objectively a non-problem.”

3. Discussion of the push in June toward world socialism by means of the the Agenda 21:

“U.N. to debut plan for world socialism in June–time for US to exit?” from
“The United Nations is holding its’ “Conference on Sustainable Development” in Rio de Janero, Brazil, over three separate sessions in June, to which organizers, led by UN Conference Secretary-General of Rio+20, Sha Zukang [who ‘really doesn’t like Americans’], expect 193 attendees from governments, the private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders, according to the Sarah de Sainte Croix March 20, 2012 article in The Rio Times...”

4. For a pressrelease from the Whitehouse on the Brazil meeting:
“Obama, Brazil, The new “inclusive” world order, and Agenda 21” from
...”They reiterated the importance of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, in 2012, and committed to work closely together to ensure its success.”

9. My personal musings/questions:

This morning I was pondering the enormous (but with God’s help, not insurmountable) challenges which we are facing with this so called “Agenda 21.” The questions came up in my mind:

a. I am wondering, does anyone here know, are there 20 other agendas before this one?
b. What are they, and what are we not seeing about THOSE?
c. Are there others after the number 21?
d. If there are no others, why would they choose “21” for their item number?

Arizona legislature’s fight against Agenda 21 from my state representative Terri Proud

From the Desk of Rep. Proud
Lets talk green

April 2012

Dear Friends,

On April 17, SB1507 (United Nations Rio declaration; prohibition) was retained on the House calendar. What is SB1507? It’s a bill to protect Arizona from the United Nations Rio Declaration that began in 1992 (below is the link). Sounds kinda silly that we, the American people, would have to establish a bill to protect us from the United Nations. But it’s very real and it is happening.

I don’t know how many of you have actually read the United Nations Rio Declaration of 1992, but on January 10, 2012, at the United Nations Conference, another draft was implemented (below is a link). The final draft will be unveiled at the summit in June of this year.

In the first three years after the agreement is forged (2012-2015), the establishment will evaluate the implementation and assessment beginning late 2012. Now it won’t be legally binding unless we implement it. But neither was ObamaCare. It was simply a document that many political leaders took from other countries and had drafted years prior. Nothing drafted just sits there to collect dust. There’s a purpose. Now look where we are with ObamaCare. Perhaps many may feel this bill isn’t necessary. However, as with many of our “down the wrong road policies,” we often wait until a law is passed then fight against it. I believe the only way we are going to rein in encroachment is to become proactive. Prevent it before it happens; put things in motion to prevent it from taking place in Arizona. That’s what SB1507 does.

This UN policy is a back door ploy toward even more wealth redistribution. It will burden or destroy small businesses with over-regulation, and essentially undermine our free-market economy. It will take away our rights as Americans by allowing the United Nations to mandate laws on our soil. Just as ObamaCare is a foreign healthcare system now being forced down our throats, the same is true of the United Nations Rio Declaration.

We are hanging on by a thread here. We’re on the threshold of a serious collapse and we need to block every attempted infringement, imminent or not, by any foreign influence which tries to dictate to our businesses or our citizens.

Contact the House Leaders and ask them to protect the future of Arizona and private businesses and put this bill on the calendar for a vote. : Andy Tobin, Speaker : Debbie Lesko, House Whip

-Terri Proud-

The 1992 UN 27 Principles

Read the 27 Principles of the United Nations Rio Declaration 1992 here.

Read the January 10, 2012 United Nations Draft

The Lies of the Opponents of SB1507

Debunking the Myths

Myth 1: “The bill would shut down any government-led environmental initiative, such as Energize Phoenix, a $25 million, stimulus-funded project to improve energy efficiency in homes and businesses along the light-rail corridors in central Phoenix”

As stated here:

The Truth: The bill will NOT “shut down” any businesses. Arizona has many companies that are currently involved in “green” projects. As a matter of fact, Arizona currently has one of the largest solar plants in the world. Read about it here. Contrary to opponents belief this bill will however place burdensome regulations on many businesses in Arizona if we do not protect Arizona with SB1507. We need to protect private businesses and reduce stimulus-funded government projects.

Myth 2: The green and sustainable job market is one of the only consistently growing markets in this State. We need the jobs here in Arizona.

The Truth: Arizona benefited from the1.45 billion dollars of Federal money, in 2010 by building the largest solar plant. So, what happened to the “green” company? Well, after investing 1.45 billion dollars of tax money, 2,000 employees were laid off at this solar plant just last week. Why? Lack of demand. READ ABOUT IT HERE

I find it ironic, really, that we can’t keep one energy company going to stimulate Arizon’a economy despite the so-called “green” demand. Now we have Energize Phoenix, the new energy company who will receive 25 million from the federal government offering the same promises. When are we going to realize the federal government CANNOT stimulate our economy!

Here’s another fact for you: Gas is still nearly $4.00 a gallon. But hey, what’s another 25 million we have to pay and what’s another hit to our economy because obviously we’re not paying enough? Because we all know that if the billion dollars didn’t work, another 25 million will!

Contact the House Leaders and ask them to put this bill on the calendar for a vote. : Andy Tobin, Speaker : Debbie Lesko, House Whip

FOR OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PARTICIPANTS - ALSO some contact info for speakers for folks in OTHER STATES who might want to organize a similar event:

There will be some noted speakers on the subject of Agenda21 at the meeting. “OCPAC” is an Oklahoman conservative organization. Names and some contact links are mentioned below:

sponsoring a one day seminar on the UN’s Agenda 21. Speaking will be
Cathie Adams, President of the Texas Eagle Forum. She will talk about
the history and scope of Agenda 21 and discuss strategies to defeat
its agenda. Another speaker will be Donna Wilson, also from Texas. She
will discuss the Councils of Governments (COGS) and their role in
implementation of Agenda 21. Then Robert Semands, President of GEL
(Govern Edmond Locally), will talk about smart meters and the language
of Agenda 21. In addition, I just found out that nationally known
speaker and commentator Patrick Wood ( ) will
also do a presentation. It will be called: Encircling the Globe with
Agenda 21. About 2 and a half years ago we showed a DVD produced by
Mr. Wood at OCPAC which was just excellent.

For a long time now Agenda 21 has been operating “under the radar” and
therefore, it is high time we expose it for what it is and work to
defeat it. The cost to attend is $20 per person or $35 for a couple
(please make your checks payable to Denise Koch and send them to

Could be to decrease the deer/moose collision problem. With the minimal snow cover this winter the die-off was very low. Bib increase in deer population expected the year.

Irving, Texas, Becomes Latest City to Drop ICLEI & UN Agenda 21

Officials in Irving, Texas, recently decided not to renew the city government’s membership in a highly controversial organization known as ICLEI, an international group linked to the United Nations’ “Agenda 21”working to quietly impose so-called “sustainable development” on local communities. Tea Party groups, conservative activists, and supporters of private property rights promptly celebrated the news as yet another victory in the battle against the UN plot.

After its membership expired in February, the city of more than 200,000 became the latest community to back out of the global scheme.

South Carolina Prepares For United Nations Takeover

It also bears noting that the South Carolina Council of Governments is an unelected body made up of regional “local” governments. Each sub-council within the larger council is made up of a grouping of local governments belonging to a specific region of the state. This body is not accountable to the people of South Carolina, yet they are clearly involved in making very important decisions.

With this in mind, it is not surprising that the Commercial Center Retrofit Act contains language right out of the Agenda 21 playbook. For instance, the preamble to the bill reads:

To encourage the South Carolina Council of Governments to adopt ordinances intended to enable the retrofitting of shopping malls and shopping centers into dense, walkable, mixed-use town centers, and to encourage other measures to promote a human habitat that is hospitable and accessible to more South Carolinians while lessening environmental impacts on the state.

TN Senate GOP Call For Rejection Of UN Agenda

Posted: Apr 24, 2012 3:56 PM CDT
Updated: Apr 24, 2012 3:56 PM CDT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A proposal that calls for the rejection of a United Nations agenda on the environment and poverty has passed the Senate.

The resolution, which “recognizes the destructive and insidious nature of United Nations Agenda 21,” was approved 19-11 on Tuesday. The House passed the measure 72-23 last month.

The agenda came out of the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 following discussions on “sustainable development.”

Republicans say the agenda is a veiled attempt to take away property rights.

1) For ARIZONANS (and others):
I’d like to direct your attention to DLfromthedesert’s post 74 of this action thread. DLFTD has posted a letter from state representative Terri Proud regarding “Let’s Talk Green.”

In it Terri discusses the UN Rio declaration and the need to protect ourselves from the UN. She recaps the history/purpose of the Declaration and the Arizona SB1507 which has been written to be proactively protective.

She asks for Arizonans to contact their House leaders and to support this bill. Links are provided.

I’m not sure, but following the letter, it appears DLFTD may have sought to provide links to some information regarding the Declaration. He/She does provide debunking of certain myths regarding the Arizona proposed legislation.

2) RIO + 20:
Participant wheresmyusa has posted the following 2 threads:

a) “Rio+20: Earth talks ‘in need of vision and direction.’”

b) “Ban Ki-moon calls for Rio+20 to replace GCP with sustainable development index”

“Senate Joins House in Condemning UN’s ‘Agenda 21’ (TN)”
“The Tennessee Senate added its voice to the state House in condemning the United Nations’ ‘Agenda 21’ on Tuesday. The program is an environmental initiative meant to encourage sustainable development. A majority of Tennessee lawmakers now describe it as destructive...”

CONGRATS TENNESSEE!! Keep turning the crank!

4)NATIONAL PARKS - Check out this thread posted by opentalk regarding our National Parks:

8)More from FLORIDA:
“Approval of office building for downtown Palm Harbor sets off a furor (Agenda 21 backlash)”
by Anne Lindberg from Tampa Bay Times

...”Last year, the company wanted to substitute office space for the residential area on the third floor. That was not permitted by the 2001 Historic Palm Harbor Master Plan. County staff members recommended amending the master plan to include transferable development rights, or TDRs.”

“A TDR allows an owner to adjust the development density allowed on his property. For example, if the owner has two parcels and each allows 100 units, but the owner wants to build a project with 150 units, he can take 50 units from one piece and add it to the 100 on the other. The remaining parcel would then be limited to 50 units, so that the overall density of the area remains the same even though it changed on one parcel.”

“But some Palm Harbor residents and business owners argued that the TDR would deprive them of private property rights, limit growth and increase parking problems in the area. Some claimed the TDR was unconstitutional. Others said it, and historic district rules, were a product of Agenda 21, an action plan related to sustainable development created by the United Nations...”

Florida folks, you are redeeming yourselves from the wags who have called your state ‘Floriduh.’ Many thanks for standing up to the UN!

Thought you might like to see what is happening here in Western Washington. This is a long running battle. The defendant was charged with making a semi-auto into a full on auto. The defendant won his trial...4 times...Marcus Carter isn’t an attorney! The prosecutor has changed tactics. The gun charge has been re-filed for the 5th time, this time a change of venue to the most liberal county in Washington, King County home of Seattle. The prosecutor also expanded his persecution by attacking Mr. Carter’s place of employment, Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club, established 1926.

Take a look see at this video!

If true...the King’s Agents are engaging in pure harassment at this point in time...

Very true. Just Google Marcus Carter/Russ Hauge/Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club. It is a very twisted tale.

Beware of Public Private partnerships (Agenda 21)
This is a great website to check periodically - news articles from around the country are posted each day.

Privatization Watch

This is just one example.

Federal program subsidizes toll roads
TIFIA, which stands for Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act, is administered by the Federal Highway Administration. The scope is to provide credit assistance in the form of direct loans to states and agencies to complete significant transportation projects. An overview report released this month shows that more TIFIA projects of late involve tolling as the preferred source for repayment of the loans…Truckers who pay the tolls worry about where their money goes, especially when a percentage of the toll revenue is set aside to guarantee profit for the project investors….TIFIA has become a buzzword in DC of late as lawmakers discuss ways to speed up project delivery and cut red tape. Congress is considering a provision in its surface transportation authorization bill to provide more seed money for the TIFIA program.

Following is some information which I have stumped my own toe over! There are other pieces of info which participants have alerted me to. Some are already on the thread, but they and others I plan to summarize in another post.

Perpetual thanks for all who work in any way shape or form on this issue, great or small!

1) ARIZONA - and all - re SHERIFF JOE!:
I heard today on the radio that he is under continuing attack by the Feds. He has been sued (again?)by them today

For Arizonans and others who wish to support his stand for us against the Feds, here are some contact numbers:

Defense Fund:
I STRONGLY recommend that you verify this before sending any money! I heard from a friend that someone out of state who tried to use info from one of his websites online was incorrect. Friend called the number of the Sheriff’s office and learned the number on the defense website was incorrect. This was a few weeks, ago, so again, THIS INFORMATION SHOULD BEST BE VERIFIED!

From one of his press releases:
100 West Washington, Suite 1900, Phoenix, Arizona 85003
Phone: (602) 876-1801 Fax: (602) 258-2081

2) More on Sheriffs standing against the Feds. This applies particularly to NEW MEXICO, INDIANA, TEXAS, CALIFORNIA, OREGON, MISSISSIPPI. The Mississippi Sheriff is also target of a federal law suit.

Sheriffs Standing with the People against the Feds

Wednesday, 04 January 2012 23:22 Written by Larry Pratt

I have reported earlier that sheriffs in NEW MEXICO are threatening to arrest federal agents if they attempt to enforce unconstitutional federal acts in contravention of state law.

The even better news is that sheriffs in other states are doing the same. Sheriff Brad Rogers of ELKHART COUNTY, INDIANA has told Food and Drug Administration agents they will be arrested if they go on Amish farmer David Hochstetler’s land. Having falsely alleged that raw, unpasteurized milk sold by Hochstetler had caused several cases of food poisoning, the FDA filed a complaint in federal court to support their attack on the farmer.

I have consumed raw milk for years and can affirm that it is not only safe, but much healthier than pasteurized milk.

The threat of incarceration led the feds to withdraw their complaint against Hochstetler. This was even after US Department of Justice attorney Ross Goldstein emailed the Sheriff that he would be arrested if he protected Hochstetler. When Sheriff Rogers refused to back down, the FDA cried uncle.

Rogers’s communication to the feds seemed to have been quite convincing: “Any further attempts to inspect this farm without a warrant signed by a local judge, based on probable cause, will result in Federal inspectors’ removal or arrest for trespassing by my officers or I.” The feds have gotten used to acting without due process — in this case, that means not bothering to get a search warrant.

Rogers’ campaign website listed his number one objective as “Upholding the Constitution.” He is also concerned about the heart condition of his inmates and is determined to help “Provide Hope to Change a Heart.” Under that header he says, “The Elkhart County jail has 74 church services a month and allows unprecedented access to ministry volunteers. Not only can we impact inmates for the here and now, but for eternity.”

Sheriff Rogers requires his deputies to take three, two-day classes on the Constitution (at a tuition rate of $125 per person).

Rogers is not alone in his love for the Constitution. Ellis County, Texas Sheriff Johnny Brown has stated that he would resist any effort by the federal government to confiscate firearms in his county.

Sheriff Joe Baca in SIERRA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA told his county commission that he will not enforce road closures on Bureau of Land Management and Gila National Forest Lands.

Sheriff Gil Gilbertson of JOSEPHINE COUNTY, OREGON has told the Forest Service that he will protect those using the forest in his county. He has written a short treatise entitled, “Unraveling Federal Jurisdiction within a State.” It is actually a scholarly piece based on citations from the Constitution, court cases and statutes and concludes that the Forest Service has no authority in any county.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Sheriff Jon Lopey has said: “I have told federal and state officials over and over that, yes, we want to preserve the environment, but you care more about the fish, frogs, trees and birds than you do about the human race. When will you start to balance your decisions to the needs of the people?...We are right now in a fight for our survival.” Lopey spearheaded a coalition of eight sheriffs calling themselves: “Defend Rural America.”

In the days after Hurricane Katrina, power was out for days. Food and medicine were about to be lost. So Sheriff Billy McGee of FORREST COUNTY, MISSIPPI — a Democrat — took action when he realized that a federal shipment of six trucks of ice bound for Hattiesburg turned out to be only four. McGee went in search of the other two and found them being guarded by some Army reservists who possessed bureaucratic mindsets.

McGee took steps to secure the ice, but was told he was not authorized to take the vehicles. When a reservist would not get off one of the trucks, McGee had him handcuffed. The ice was delivered where it was needed in Hattiesburg, explaining why McGee is also known as The Ice Man.

Not surprisingly, the feds have brought suit against the Sheriff in federal court. Perhaps McGee will arrest any marshals seeking to interfere with the duties of a peace officer.

It is encouraging that men of integrity, who understand that the sheriff is the top law enforcement officer in his county, have been elected in counties around the country. We should be looking for more who fit this description.

Please let me know if you are aware of any constitutional sheriffs, and use the contact button on the website to send me their names and stories.

3) From the same issue of “The Gunowners:

“You might also go to the online GOA bookstore and get Sheriff Richard Mack’s treatise on the power of the county sheriffs. You can get “The County Sheriff: America’s Last Hope” at:

1) From ARIZONA:
See link at post 83 of this Agenda 21 Action Thread for Arizona being close to passing anti-UN-sustainability bill:

US NEW/MSLSD by Jim Gold

“Arizona lawmakers appear close to sending to Gov. Jan Brewer a tea party-backed bill that proponents say would stop a United Nations takeover conspiracy but that critics claim could end state and cities’ pollution-fighting efforts and even dismantle the state unemployment office.

A final legislative vote is expected Monday on a bill that would outlaw government support of any of the 27 principles contained in the 1992 United Nations Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, also sometimes referred to as Agenda 21...”

“New Obama Executive Order Pushes Us Closer To A North American Union And A One World Economic System” from The American Dream by Michael Snyder May 2, 2012

“Since he was elected, Obama has signed a whole host of new international economic agreements. He regularly speaks of the need for “cooperation” among global religions and he has hosted a wide variety of different religious celebrations at the White House. Obama once stated that “all nations must come together to build a stronger global regime”. If you do not want to live in a “global regime” that is just too bad. To globalists such as Obama, it is inevitable that the United States of America will be merged into the emerging global system.Just this week, Obama has issued a new executive order that seeks to “harmonize” U.S. economic regulations with the rest of the world. This new executive order is yet another incremental step that is pushing us closer to a North American Union and a one world economic system. Unfortunately, most Americans have absolutely no idea what is happening....” SNIP

If you want to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics.

“Agenda 21 Treaty on the Horizon” by Henry Lamb

FreeRepublic commentary:

First few paragraphs from the noisyroom web site document:

Environmental Law (ICEL)

“While liberal journalists continue to claim that Agenda 21 is just a “conspiracy theory” being advanced by right-wing crackpots, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the International Council for Environmental Law (ICEL) have released their fourth Draft of the International Covenant on Environment and Development. This document was designed from the beginning to convert the “soft-law” non-binding Agenda 21 into firmly binding global law — enforceable through the International Criminal Court and/or the dispute resolution features of the Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Two excellent analyses of this document are available here and here. Read the entire 242-page document here. [note: “here” denotes a hyperlink on the Lamb document at noisyroom web site]

Few people understand that it is standard operating procedure for the U.N. to issue a massive non-binding policy document to test the water and make adjustments to its plans before introducing the real, legally-binding treaty. For example,, the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a “soft-law” instrument, was the precursor to the two 1966 U.N. Covenants on Human Rights.... “

The FreeRepublic thread commentary is info-packed with links and cogent analysis, as one might expect.

“Fish or Foul on the Klamath River” from AFPCalifornia

Utube video is the source document:!

FreeRepublic Commentary:

“The Department of Interior plans to destroy four dams on the Klamath River in Northern California so salmon can swim further than 180 miles up the river. But these dams provide water and flood protection to thousands of humans who also live along the river. Clean energy from these hydro dams supply electricity to 70,000 residents in the area. Despite a lack of scientific evidence that dam removal will help the fish, or any study on the human impact of dam removal, the DOI is pressing forward to have the dams destroyed...”

Lots of good commentary on FR thread.

“’Existential threat’ to Western U.S. states (FedGov wants water rights)” ^ | May 14, 2012 | Bob Unruh

“The Obama administration has launched a new battle over water rights that threatens not only the the economies of arid Western states, which largely voted against him in the 2008 election, but their very existence...” SNIP

God help us. Thanks to all for your interest and efforts to wake our friends and neighbors to the dangers.
