Sony Reportedly Working on a Full Frame Square Sensor Camera

Sony may be working on a full frame square format digital camera, looks like a Hasslebad!

I'm not gonna ask how much this will cost, but I can dream, can't I?

Photobucket

My Sony A-200 left the repair shop today, headed home, for the 2nd time, they didn't get it right first time. I've been without a good digital camera for about 5 weeks now, just gnashing my teeth and moaning!

It’s posts like this that give me comfort in the knowledge that I could be worse things than a computer geek.

Got an A300, which I haven’t used today for the first time in two years (I did carry it around), thinking of getting an A65 and an 18-250 lens. Great cameras.

I keep mine smoking hot, it finally developed some problems.

It's been in swamps, marshes, and on beaches, everything from bird poop to frog snot, LOL.

All of a sudden the flash wouldn't turn off, even when down. I couldn't shoot at any speed but synch speed or slower. It's coming back next Thursday with a new top section, hopefully ready to go.

As long as you shower once a month and don’t pick your nose unless you turn your back we won’t care!

They have had digital backs for these things for years. And the resolution of the new Nikon d800 is approaching medium format.

But the Hassy is like looking at a Rolls Royce. I have one that comes out for the summer.

Audiophile is the worst, paying hundreds of dollars for chewed bubblegum to take the vibration out of your speakers.

It’s digital.

Yet it has a crank.

My how pretentious.

I’ll have to stick to my poor person Canon DSLRs. Right now I have a T2i with a really persistent piece of trash on the sensor that auto clean and I apparently can’t manually clean with special sensor cleaner pads. I rule out burned pixels since it is roundish and really shows up only when the telephoto is racked out.

Where did you have it repaired? I’ve only found a place somewhere in Illinois to repair mine for something like 80 bucks. The 18-70 lens also failed later but buying a new one cost the same as having it repaired. Now the dropped 55-200 is failing and I’m trying to decide what to do. Manual aperture, please!

Finally! I have several square frames at home but have never found a camera that takes pictures to fit them.

At one time or another two but just one these days. It gets off and on use. Mostly it is a stock video production camera and sometime event and fun still camera.

All of the HD stuff linked below was done with it:

Just about all of the footrace and maybe half of the smugmug stuff is T2i.

I sent it to United Camera in Illinois. It doesn't seem to matter, all the repair operations seem to get trashed on feedback. Mine is to totaled about $150.00.

I like the 18-70 except for the plastic mount, optically it's pretty good. The old Minolta 35-70 f4 won't go as wide but it's a better lens in all ways, and cheap.

I've got 27mm to 600mm covered now, don't need any more lenses!

As far as lenses, nothing is wide enough for me and an 18 to something zoom seems to be the widest zoom on the market now. One of the main reasons why I had picked the A300 in the first place.

Minolta made a 16mm f2.8 that will work but it’s not that much wider. It might be a very much better lens, it’s one of the old Mazzum series.

I know how you feel. Saw a mountain lion a little before sundown today, but it was well over a mile away. They usually only stalk around this large, treeless area after dark. Wish I had some sort of telescope that would work with a camera.
