This has gone on long enough. It's now clear Romney can't win.

For the future of the Republican party, it's time for Romney to step aside, for a better candidate.

Brokered Convention, let the GOP know who is still in charge. Add a strong Tea Party contingent and you have a new direction already started.

Go NEWT/SARAH!

Thinking about California and I think its time to remind Californians that no one has done more than Mitt Romney to unleash gay marriage on America.

Plenty of Californians aren’t real happy that they voted against gay marriage only to have the court overturn their will. They need to be reminded of what Romney has done.

The bad news for Romney is the makeup of Louisiana voters. Urban/rural, aggie/industrial not enough finance and insurance workers to tip the scale in his favor. If Rick gives him the beating he so soundly deserves in PA he should drop out for the good of the nation. He won’t win TX, might not win WI, will have really only Ohio, Florida and Virginia to hang his hat on, and Virginia was a set-up for him, in primary states, and no majority in any of these.
He’ll win in NY and CA, so what? He won’t in the general.

This is the money quote. It’s the fact that the GOP-E refuses to recognize. Either that, or they know full well what they’re doing and know damn well they’ve propped up another loser.

Why on earth do you think Rick Santorum can win in the general election? It is mi d boggling to me that most here believe that when you are so clearly in the minority.

Oh the GOP-e recognizes. They expect, however, that all the traditional Republican states in the South will fall in line will support Romney in the General over Obama, so in their opinions, Romney could get blown out 99-1% in a place like LA, and they still wouldn’t care because at the end of the day, the expect GOP voters to support Romney.

This is why voting for Romney is a dangerous proposition in the General. It will give the GOP-e only more fuel for shoving RINOs and Moderates down our throats.

The nominating contest needs to be tilted in the following ways: Make the Traditional Republican states WTA and the Moderate/Liberal states proportional based on the Statewide vote, not CD. You do that, a conservative might actually win the nominating contest.

The point is not the general election.

The point is the primaries.

Romney’s not winning enough to clinch the primary.

He should withdraw.

Its real simple. Romney is winning Obama strongholds he can’t possibly defeat Obama in during the general election. In the mean time Romney has repeatedly insulted conservative traditionally conservative areas.

Now we hear that he will “reset” and run as a moderate which means he’ll push conservatives even further away.

So we should support choir boy who lost his home state by 18 points in 06.. What has choir boy done in the Senate that would be considered conservative??

None of the candidates left would have been in my top 10 going into this election cycle. But we’re stuck with what we got. Santorum comes closest to my conservative credentials, but Obama would slaughter him, I have no doubt on that.

Hildy....please don’t tell me that you are a Romney supporter. He is winning states that Obama is guaranteed to win. It is either Santorum or Romney....pick your poison. Have a great Sunday!!!

In case I was being too subtle, my point in posting this was to stop infighting between Gingrich supporters and Santorum supporters.

And focus on the person who’s orchestrated all the infighting all through this process:

Romney.

Romney should quit, get out of the way, and let real Republicans win.

Romney is the problem.

Santorum wins a State that he was projected to win, and that means Romney is done? You’re joking, right? Do you realize the percentage of delegates left that Santorum has to win to win the nomination? If Santorum follows it up with a win in Wisconsin, followed by gaining the majority of the delegates on April 24 (NY, Penn, Del, Conn, RI). Then maybe there is a hint that the tide is turning, but that is highly unlikely.
