Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school because he was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boys family attorney has confirmed.
Trayvon was killed while serving out the suspension in Sanford Florida, where his fathers girlfriend lives. A community watch volunteer who thought he looked drugged out and suspicious called police and later wound up in a fight with him.
The two scuffled and volunteer George Zimmerman shot Trayvon, killing him. He has not been charged.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to converge on Sanford on Monday for an afternoon rally to protest the killing, which occurred one month ago today.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, the Rev. Al Sharpton and comedian Sinbad are expected to speak at a 5 p.m. special City Commission meeting.
Several busloads of protesters left Miami early Monday to participate.

Trayvon Martin, before and after mainstream media doctoring.
There goes the, punching bus driver, theory.
That explains the Skittles, dude had the munchies.
“the two scuffled” (when Trayvon attacked like a mad dog)
I’m a “rich white guy” and I don’t have a “family lawyer”.
Man, I wish I had a “family lawyer”. That is so cool....
Gotta have another child, if you want a family lawyer. :)
We need a YouTube of this with a laugh track inserted. I wonder if anyone will ask JJ or Sinbad how they feel about the $10,000 "bounty" the NBP has placed on Mr. Zimmerman.
Was he USING....or SELLING?
Martin thought the guy was on drugs. The 911 call.

thousands expected at rally
We have a ‘family lawyer’ and trust me, it wasn’t by choice.
rally = riot
Probably both, but his Facebook account suggests that he was at least selling. But I could have misunderstood his homie wondering why Martin wasn't answering, and that he needed "some plant."
Rest assured toxicology reports will answer this question.
Why settle for just one. How about both?
Actually it means the reference to a bus driver is a separate reference.
Also, if the twitter messages I saw were accurate, this young man was more of a gangsta talker and acter than is being portrayed.
BTW is it necessarily a good thing to be wearing gangsta hoodies in Florida? Just asking.
So the media “Doctored and Shopped” the photo to make him appear more White and to improve his complexion....
This is Blatant Racism by the media and it is given a “free pass”....?
Weed doesn't give you the munchies and it doesn't make you forgetful.
That's just an overblown stereotype to smear all responsibile weed users.
I demand an apology and . . .
Damn. I forgot what I was going to say.
Ray Lewis? I guess they need someone on hand with experience in shooting innocent people.
The media will be standing downwind of that rally to get a free high.
Time for another episode of..
When ‘causes’ get shanghaied
Has anyone brought up the photo doctoring in the media.
Probably bof.
Heh. ;-)
I see what you did there.
So true. One day is might be us/family. We MUST reign in the media - as NEWT is doing. Only Patriots have the will and guts to do it!
Probably more of a talker, than doer.
Not supporting the hood lifestyle, but many black youth talk gangsta without really living it.
That would be stabbing.
Quite possibly both.
Selling to support his habit.
If you don’t want to be mistaken for a ‘gangsta’, then don’t look and talk like one.
Additionally, the MSM in this story does not tell us of the intensive training in drug interdiction and criminal identification that Zimmerman had as the rank of officer in the Neighborhood Watch.
And we are told that Travon was carrying “Skittles” and “Ice Tea”’ when he was apprehended and shot.
Could “Skittles” be some euphemism for some illegal drug like Ecstasy or perhaps rocks of crack cocaine?
Could “Ice Tea” really me heroin or some new kind of crack cocaine or meth?
I agree with you there.
There are sometimes real-world consequences for living out fantasies.
LOL!
Not necessarily. This family has told lies in the past. The father told the police it was NOT his son screamthe 911 tape, then told the media and the lynch mob that it was.
File under, " When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong "
Rotflmao. Good one. It’s funny cuz its true.
I have a family lawyer.
It's my sister, but she is family, after all.
Well, that should lower the surrounding areas' crime rates.
What exactly are “traces” of marijuana? That should be pursued.
Nothing is guaranteed, but it would fit as to why Trayvon was in an unauthorized area, to make a deal.
This article is still running the AP picture of when he was a child.
In my family we call them the cousins.
Loser.
Some kids will wear hoodies if it is 90 out. I teach at a rural school, and we have a pretty strict dress code, including no hoodies/jackets etc. I frankly think it’s insane, but that’s the dress code. It’s a non-stop battle to keep the hoodies out, even if it’s really hot out.
“Martin thought the guy was on drugs. The 911 call.”
Just exactly where did you get the information that Trayvon thought that Cap. Zimmerman was on drugs?
We know Zimmerman as an officer in the Neighborhood Watch could not have been on drugs.
That isn’t Trayvon. be careful what you post, confusing people’s identites in this matter can serve no good purpose.
That is a middle schooler from Georgia.
LOL...bof....
Heads will explode around here when Zimmerman is charged with manslaughter, again. Then the place will fall apart when he gets convicted. Pot, tattoos, gold teeth, etc. None of that will matter.
This is Trayvon Martin of Florida. A sure way to identify him is by the visible scar on his right cheek under his right eye seen in all three of these pics. Another way is by his distinctive front teeth also visible in all three pics.
