Arlen Specter on Sarah Palin & Her Skirt Length: She ‘Radiated Sensuality’
The Blaze ^ | March 27, 2012 | Mytheos Holt

Arlen Specter may have switched parties after John McCain lost the 2008 election, but based on a passage in the former Senator’s new book, “Life Among Cannibals,” he may have had a bit of a soft spot for McCain’s running mate. In fact, one passage in the book reads more like a Harlequin romance novel than a political memoir. The Washington Post spotted this hot and heavy excerpt and threw it up on their “In the Loop” blog:

For example, in one steamy passage on page 156, he recalls riding on Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) campaign bus in 2008 with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

“She was a total charmer, very friendly,” Specter writes. “The few things she said were intelligent.” He doesn’t mention what they were, maybe because he was distracted.

“We were sitting virtually knee to knee in the cramped bus,” he writes. ”She radiated sensuality. Her skirt rode above her knees — not exactly short, but close.”

He’s an old nut, but I met Sarah Palin (briefly) and she’s very attractive, well dressed, in great shape. I don’t think he could sit with her and not notice. Her whole family radiates healthy and wholesome.

He was drawn in by her intellectual and then his lust took over - if she had a long dress on - his lust would still be there. He blames it on her shirt length, not his fleshly thoughts.

Actually, it’s what is within her, goodness, that he is drawn to and doesn’t know it.

I'm in favor of sensuality.

Too bad that Specter has negative values on that axis.

Could have been worse. The book could have been written by Jim Webb.

OK FReepers, where the hell is the skirt-clad photos of Sarah Palin?

I just knew there would be dozens!

I readily admit my disappointment!

She's a pretty woman.

She's also a very intelligent, capable, witty, well-spoken, powerful, self-assured woman.

There's no reason in the world to deny the fact that she's sexy. It's just as much a part of who she is as any other part of her.

She certainly knows it, and isn't ashamed to display her beauty when appropriate. I have no problem with that, just like I have no problem when she displays her intelligence. It wasn't that many years ago that a women who displayed intelligence was considered socially inept -- women were supposed to not have opinions. Let's not go back there, with regard to beauty and sexiness.

Sarah Palin is a REAL WOMAN.
