Evidence linking climate change to extreme weather mounts (hot air “mounts”)
EurActiv ^ | 29 March 2012 | Arthur Neslen

The world’s scientists are now more than 90% sure that human-caused global warming will increase the length, frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as heat waves, the most authoritative scientific report yet on the subject says.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report into extreme weather events found with “high confidence” that climate change has already made heat waves more severe in areas including southern Europe and the Mediterranean.

By 2100, the financial cost of extreme weather conditions could be some €15 trillion, mostly borne by what is currently the developing world.

The worst affected will be women, and people who are poor, elderly, uneducated, disabled, or in poor health. …

The report was compiled by 220 authors from 62 countries, and received more than 18,000 expert and government review comments in three rounds of its review process.

“It is probably the most thoroughly reviewed report concerning extreme events so far,” Stocker said.

It also used a “new uncertainty language”, which cautiously ranks the likelihood of predictions and confidence in attributions according to a scale ranging from ‘virtually certain’ (99-100% sure) to ‘exceptionally unlikely’ (a 0-1% probability). …

The IPCC strikes again. Their raison d'être disappears unless they keep pushing the lies even harder than ever . . . now via creating a "new uncertainty language" (i.e. new BS).

Well of course there will be more suffering for Women and other low life. Is the writer some sort of sexist? I think so. I as a women will be hit harder than all the men. I wonder just how dumb you have to be to write this sentence let alone those who will actually believe it.

I didn't have to read any further than this line.

The worst affected will be women, and people who are poor, elderly, uneducated, disabled, or in poor health.

Reads like the special interest groups of your typical Leftist. Thankfully I am a white male, so this upcomming disater won't effect me.

The sky is falling!

And what must we do? Give up our freedoms to fascist environmentalists, who will be the new masters of the world!

How come people are not lining up for that?

The world’s scientists are now more than 90% sure

Sixty-seven percent of statistics are half made up.

The IPCC produces enough bullshit to fertilize all the drought areas they are concerned about.

There wasn’t one “100 percent certain” comment in the whole article.

I’m 100 percent sure that these scientists are charlatans, fools, ideologically blind, scientifically incompetent, and just plain full of shit.

Alaska just had a near-record or record amount of snowfall in Anchorage. Where is “global warming” up there?

I guess these so-called scientists have not been following the very unusual behavior of the sun re lack of sunspots, super coronal material ejections, and the happy face that appeared on it the other day.

The IPCC should be abolished and all its workers should be made to pay back the public for their overpaid jobs.

Zer0’s target voters.

Look at this:

To gain this degree of certainty, the report was compiled according to a ‘consensus’-based model which posed some problems for evaluating the contribution of human-caused climate change to phenomena such as tropical cyclones, where data gaps appear before the middle of the last century.

What a compost heap this is. It says absolutely nothing.

Actually I have figured out what this means To gain this degree of certainty, the report was compiled according to a ‘consensus’-based model which posed some problems for evaluating the contribution of human-caused climate change to phenomena such as tropical cyclones, where data gaps appear before the middle of the last century.

It means, simply stated They didn't know what to think because nothing made any sense, so they voted on how to fudge the numbers to try and prove their theory.

It’s thoroughly unscientific. There is no such thing as basing anything on consensus, in real science. If the starting point is consensus, then you will get no further than the horse and cart—if you even make it as far as inventing the wheel. No major human leaps forward were ever done by committee.
