nothing is working!
Ancestry.com has a button that says 1940 census but it does not have the 1940 census. You can get 1930 under it but not 1940.
I got to the search page, but I see no place to enter query info. Clicked on “LOCATION” and “SEARCH” — and nothing happened. (Was hoping for a set of maps...)
LOL! I noticed! Probably too many of us trying to search at once!

not really. Got one page out of 40. Nothing but waiting and errors now.
I typed in an address (repeatedly... for the past 90 minutes!) and it simply refuses to load anything.
Leave it to the government to suck at something THIS much.

I finally was able to download an entire ED.
also images are beginning to show up on ancestry.com
given the speed of the crawling turtle, I question calling this “live”. I wonder if Ancestry is giving priority to its own users.
