The Single Greatest Threat To America
YouTube ^ | May 24, 2010 | Dennis Prager

Posted on 04/02/2012 2:22:32 PM PDT by Carriage Hill

Dennis Prager, Gov Sarah Palin and Hugh Hewitt at a televised forum, at University of Denver, on "The Greatest Threat To America". Prager's answer isn't what you'd expect. Apparently Gov Palin and Mr Hewitt have already spoken. It's a very good 8:54 clip, which a Conservative friend sent to me.

Here's another YouTube clip of Prager and Hewitt discussing their UofD forum with Gov Palin, where she speaks:

The title isn’t mine; I picked it up from the forum’s moderator.

It’s that we’re not telling our children about our Nation’s Conservative Values and making sure they can explain them well, to others. He blames us and our Parents for not being as well-educated in succintly expressing those values, but says the problem goes back almost 100 years.

Did you watch the video, upchuck? And the one with Gov Palin? I don’t know much about Prager - never listened to his show - but he seems to be a *spotlight hog* when he interrupts Gov Palin on the clip with Hewitt. He does make a good point about American Exceptionalism.

Dennis Prager is spot on. I did not see the other clip, but he is a very good writer. He rarely misses the mark. He’s up there with mark Steyn and Thomas Sowell, in my book! When I was in HS, we still learned about our founding and the US Constitution. It seems that this is no longer the case. Had I known, I’d have home-schooled my own children. I find now that they did not learn about it. My kids later told me they wished I’d home-schooled them...and I agree, looking back. With your husband being an educator, though, one takes pause in your decisions because it also sends a message of sorts to the principal about how you view the school.

That can be fixed in Nov and mid-terms; med- & long-term severe threat are what I previously commented about, in the description of the video: not passing on our “American Exceptionalism” and being able to explain our American Conservative Values, to our children, and them to theirs. We’re losing what’s made us unique among all nations of the world. IMO.

We’ve got a collective problem, there, camle. I’d vote for a “orange juice can”, before 0bummer&HisRegimeFromHell, gets another 4yrs. We can deal with the “can”, later.

So tell me: do you want another 4yrs of that POS from Hell? Are you that much better-off than you were 4yrs ago? I’m not and I’ll vote for Newt right up and until/if Romney becomes the GOP nominee. There’s noth other rational choice to get rid of 0bummer&Co. This nation can’t take another 4yrs, which will be 5-10x worse than the first 4, given that he doesn’t have to worry about re-election. Her’ll get away with more than Hell.

I’d agree with that, ArrogantBustard. 52% of them (voted for 0bummer) scare the crap out of me!

what’s the difference between romney and obama other than skin color? two peas in a pod. i will not be an active agent in my own destruction. and if i’m gonna be screwed, i’d rather get screwed from a known enemy than someone who is supposed to be my friend.

i will NTO vote for romney. period. if you want me to vote republican, then find me a candidate that I can get behind.

“....the greatest threat to the American people to day is the American people.”

####

Yes. I've been saying that for years.

The radical RaceMarxist was not a problem until he was put into power by an American populace that is increasingly comfortable with socialism, AKA as stealing from your fellow citizens.

Benjamin Franklin was prescient when answering the query from the woman about what kind of government they have given us:

“A Republic madam....IF you can keep it....”

200 years later, we are clearly pissing away the greatest system of limited government, liberty and wealth creation ever gifted to a free people.

It’s not my job to “find you a candidate”. If I had my druthers, Gov Palin would be there in place of Romney, and Newt would be the VP. But then, I’m just a Conservative, right-wing wacko, clinging to his religion and guns. (FUBO).

I hate to say it, but you’ll get what you vote for, since not voting is a vote for the 0bummer&Co’sRegimeFromHell. A lot of people on this site have said they’ll skip the Prez’ box, and vote the downticket. That’s personal, political and national suicide, IMO.

I wish I had the power to change candidates and your mind, but I can’t do either. Unless there’s a brokered convention and we can get someone more Conservative than Romney onto the Nov ticket. I’m not counting on that happening; I’m not that smart, but if it does, I’ll quickly change my mind and vote accordingly. But I’ll never sit by a fight for our Country’s survival and do nothing. Never.

I don’t have another rational choice, because not voting is the same as casting a vote for 0bummer&Co. Fact. And facts are stubborn things, sir. Have a nice next 4yrs, camle. I hope it turns-out better for you than the past 3 yrs have turned out for me, my Family and our Family Farm Business.

what’s the diff between ‘obummer’s regime from hell’ and romney’s regime from hell?
when you give me the choice between voting for a white liberal nad a black liberal, i don’t see what the point is in voting for either one.

the republican establ;ishment had better wake up because I am NOT on your plantation to vote for whomever you tell me to. if they want to win this election, they need to present a candidate that we can support. adn yes, if you want MY vote, you better give me a decent candidate. my vote is not controlled by teh D or R beside someone’s name. i vote for whom i feel is the best candidate.

if you want MY vote, then give me the best candidate. the republican establishment is so cocksure that i, and folks like me, will vote for whomebver they put in front of me, that they forget that someof us can’t hold our noses that long.

i held my nose and voted for Dole. i held my nose and voted for mccain. i’m tired of holding my nose. i will not do it again.

if the republicans nominate romney, they will go down in defeat. again.

There are HUGE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM, camle. Some just can’t see them. If you can’t see them, I feel bad for you.

Now at 62, I’ve held my nose and voted for Nixon-Lodge in ‘59, Nixon again, Dole and then McCain too. Reagan was a once-in-a-lifetime gift, the likes of whom we may never see again. If you want everything your way and just all so perfect, you’re going to be greatly disappointed in this life, camle.

I’ve learned to play the hand I’m dealt, the best I can, since I don’t have *the power* to change it before the dealer acts. If you have a better way, please let me know. I’m all ears, pal.

you ain’t got them many years on me, fewer than you think, and no, you don;’t have to play the hand your dealt. you can fold and walk out.

this hand stinks so bad that it shold be called a foot!

Re: Dewey
^^^^^^^^^

The problem began with the institution of modern government schooling ( mid-1800s to early 1900s).

— If children are sent to single-payer, compulsory, socialist-entitlement schools, our nation's citizens will learn to be comfortable with socialism. Franklin D. Roosevelt was not an accident. He was the result of one to three generations of citizens learning to be comfortable with socialism in socialist schools!

—Our earliest socialist-entitlement schools forced a generic and lukewarm Protestant worldview on its captive students. What does Christ do with the lukewarm? He spits them out of His mouth! The religious worldview was sufficient discordant with Catholic bishops that many started their own tuition-free school systems.

— Our socialist-entitlement schools have been completely godless since the 1960s. Simply to cooperate in the classroom the child must think and reason godlessly. How could it be otherwise?

Only evil can come from a system of indoctrinating children and we are reaping the fruits of it today.
