This week, atheist students at the University of Texas at San Antonio are holding their annual “Smut for Smut” campaign, in which they offer to exchange holy texts for hardcore porn, the Friendly Atheist reported.
The group, Atheist Agenda, argues that the “perversion, misogyny, slavery, rape, murder” that’s chronicled in the Old Testament is worse than what’s depicted in contemporary pornography.
It’s a rather attention-grabbing concept, and the atheists drew religious opponents even on their first day set up on the steps in front of a campus building with signs reading “FREE PORN” and the name of their organization.

Ah, the ignorant arrogance - must be great to be so smart and sophisticated, hunh? UTSA’s right up the road, and most of these kids don’t pay any attention to each other. Wouldn’t surprise me if the administration was supportive, however.

interesting they are too ignorant to realize that they wouldn’t have the beliefs that “perversion, misogyny, slavery, etc.” were wrong if they did not live in a world greatly influenced by Biblical standards.
That’s what a friend of said when I told him that Obama’s staff lectured Cardinal Dolan’s staff on interpreting Catholic Doctrine.
Don’t be suprised if you hear about these idiots getting their little tent or table torn down. This sort of thing on college campuses makes me sick. It’s amazing the Admins are even letting it happen. So many things you would never hear about happening here in Texas 20 years ago are now finally starting to sprout up. Even stranger in SA where Catholics rule.

It could be interesting, if someone were to wrap up and have someone film such....
Expel them from UTSA, charge them with Indecency and with corruption on minors.

I should be greatly interested in seeing them do the same thing to Muslims and with the Koran. :)
What these simple minded fools do not understand is that the only reason they can be so abusive towards the Christian religion is because IT created a society tolerant enough to allow it.
I have long pointed out that atheists only exist because they are unaware that they are floating in an ocean of Christianized society. Prior to Christianity, or with some other religion, these people would be immediately killed.
Unless they mock the Muslims, they are nothing but mouthy little cowards.

In all fairness, Christianity is not equal among its sects, especially in Texas.
Texas has long been a hotbed of bizarre varieties of Christianity that are far removed from what civilized people think of as Christianity. Many are little different from cults, and just use Christianity as a backdrop and a means to get protection and political support from real Christians unaware of their cult-like activities.
And as you might imagine, a lot of this has resulted in a backlash and rejection of real Christianity, based on these bad associations.
Add to this the use of Christianity to achieve crude political and social goals, often oppressing innocent people, again totally divorced from the religion of Christianity, but for which Christianity is condemned with guilt by association.
So the end result, among other things, are “angry atheists”, who want to hurt Christianity in return for pain caused to them in the name of Christianity.
I think being a jerk is one of the tenets of Atheism. Either that or it’s what they do to get attention like a child acting out.

That is exactly my point. These people can mock the religion that gave them the freedom to behave in such a way. Any other religion would kill them for such effrontery.
Ah yes, the Atheists fire off another volley for Western Civilization! Atheists are fine allies in the struggle against global islamic jihad and against the islamic third-worldization of America. Just look at the stuff they do! We’d be lost without them!
