I have about 7 1911s, and I once bought 500 rds of Wolf .45ACP for them. Ball Ammo with a steel case. In one of the 1911s (an accurized Springfield), the cartridges always get hung up after the first round. Turns out the extraction rim on the ammunition is slightly thinner than regular brass rims.. On the gun in question, the extractor doesn’t grip the rim strongly and it drops a little on recoil causing a jam....damned frustrating thing now that I have to make sure not to load it in that particular weapon.
My kid had problems with his saiga 12 ga not extracting shells and jamming.
He researched it and found a fix by opening the exhasut gas ports.
Always a fix of some kind. Always more problems out there
