"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Make sure to listen to Jack Benny. I love that Easter tune he sings. The Greatest Story Ever Told also looks good.

Where’d you go?

We took a 12 day Caribbean cruise from Bayonne, NJ, which meant we didn't have to fly! It was wonderful and incredibly relaxing! We celebrated my husband's big birthday, and he loved it. I miss all the pampering!

This Greatest Story diverts from the actual account, and I’m very disappointed that they do not mention Jesus’ name, but at least they’re telling the story—as they do, anyway.

Evening, and Happy Easter, folks. Hope dinner was a good time for all - we had our little get-together at the daughter-in-law's yesterday to let the young-un's go on their search-and-destroy Easter Egg mission. That was a hoot. LOL

I didn't follow the Masters, but I heard that Bubba gave golf fans what they came for. And maybe the term 'search and destroy' isn't quite accurate. As many eggs as there were, as visible as they were, and as closely together as they were, it was more like 'shooting fish in a barrel'. LOL But the kids had fun, and that's what counts. A couple of the 'trophy' eggs had furry little robo-chicks in them with a set of contacts on the bottom, so when they're held, they'd cheep. One of the pups heard it, got it in her mouth (as dogs will do), and her tongue made it cheep. It went to animatronic baby chick heaven before the burgers were off the grill. LOL!
