There was a quote used yesterday about Tiger that I found very interesting. I think it may have been by or originally come from David Faraday but I am not 100% sure.

The discussion was about Bubba never having a coach and just learning the game by feel, and how that lead to the ‘genious’ he showed on so many shots including the pentutimate one.

One announcer said something about how we USED to see that genious from Tiger, and the reply was that “Tiger has had the genious that made him great coached out of him”

This is the first Masters that I actually watched since my Dad passed away in 98.

He would have loved this one for sure. He was a regular visitor to Augusta for the Masters since the early 50s up until 98. It is a wonderful place to be in the Springtime.

My favorite memory from my visits is from 1970 when I was standing on the 15th tee looking down on the 10th green watching Sam Sneed putt. I felt a presents behind me and Jack Nicklaus was standing right behind me also watching.
We turned around and watched him crush a 400 yard drive on the 15th. It was too cool.

I just don’t get why Phil didn’t re-Tee-Off with his unplayable lie. Biggest brain fart I’ve ever seen from such a seasoned pro.

When it comes to playing an impossible shot, Bubba believes in God, and there-in lies his strength. Mickelson believes he IS God, and there-in lies his downfall.

What a tournament. Louis Oosterhuizen’s double eagle on #2 seemed to be the shot of the game until...

While I feel some sympathy for Oosterhuizen, seeing that he hung in there with his lead until Bubba tied him toward the end, Bubba’s miraculous wedge on the 2nd hole of the playoff was the game winning shot and even eclipses (in the fact of the win) Oosterhuizen’s historic shot. Good for Bubba, good for golf.

The biggest mistake I ever made was not working for Ben Hogan when I had the opportunity.

My Dad was a scratch player plus 3 which means he gave the other players 3 strokes to make it even. Had a great short game. My brother was a good golfer, my brother in law was a pro and at age 70 shot a 69 the last time he played. My father in law was President of the Northern Golf Assn and a great golfer. My husband is great golfer.

Sorry about the bragging. but I am proud of them.

lastly, Phil did the same shot a few years ago to win his last Masters

To be fair Phil hit that shot off the pinestraw on 13 to within 5 feet for eagle in the 2010 Masters but he didn't have to hook it that far. It was a fantastic shot nonetheless (probably a better shot considering the pin was in the front). Just different from Bubba's. Now, Phil's approach on 18 in the 3rd round was very close to Bubba's on 10. All those shots were ridiculously good.

loL, he’s currently number 4.

What? From the bottom?

Always #1 in our hearts... /sarc

Actually... I was surprised that CBS continued on with the Masters coverage, even after Tiger finished his round. Truly SHOCKING!!!!

Did you notice the scars on his left elbow in that shot?

No I didn’t. He sounds like a really nice guy. I told my husband I didn’t think he had any formal training; and someone reported he has never had a golf lesson; but you know how that goes. Later on it will be said he has. He does play the game his way and I heard his wife was his manager.

Sergio Garcia?

How about B.O.? As I remember, the media used to keep up with GW and Clinton’s golf scores, but not much is said about BO’s score, although he may just count the strokes over par to make it look good. He plays basketball by the hour but had trouble draining one on Easter Sunday and looks like a total wuss when throwing a baseball or trying to ride a bike. Such a pansy. Re Garcia - am surprised he is still hanging around. Can’t just seem to quite get there.
