Bobby Petrino will not return as head football coach at Arkansas, multiples sources have told ESPN.com's Chris Low.

The university has called an 8:15 p.m. ET press conference at which time athletic director Jeff Long will announce Petrino will not be back.

The 51-year-old Petrino was put on paid leave last week after he didn't tell his boss right away that a 25-year-old female football program employee was riding with him during an April 1 motorcycle crash. Petrino, who is married with four children, also admitted to an inappropriate relationship.

Also on Monday, a person familiar with the investigation confirmed to The Associated Press that Petrino's "previous inappropriate relationship" was with Jessica Dorrell, the former Arkansas volleyball player with whom Petrino was riding with during his motorcycle crash on a rural two-lane road southeast of Fayetteville.

Petrino was noticeably vague in the wording about the relationship in his statement last Thursday, and the person spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Long said in a late-night news conference Thursday that he didn't hear about the 25-year-old Dorrell until Petrino called him that afternoon, minutes before a police report was released that disclosed her presence at the accident.

Dorrell, who did not return a call seeking comment, was hired March 28 by Petrino as the student-athlete development coordinator after serving as a fundraiser with the Razorback Foundation. She is in charge of organizing the recruiting process for the football team, including initial eligibility for each incoming player.

Wondering the the young woman is still engaged, as she was to be married in June? I am doubting it!

Maybe I’m missing something here. Are foosball coaches not allowed to be normal human beings? Does everybody lose their job if they have an affair? Are foosball coaches special in some way?

I’ll go back to not caring about sports again. It seems stupid and overhyped.

Do people lose their jobs if they have an affair? Democrat presidents don’t.

I’ve always thought Petrino was on the arrogant side. I guess he thought he would be able to get away with anything. Riding on a motorcycle with a blond employee half his age, both without helmets, in a part of the country where everyone knows who you are? That’s arrogant.

I love the hogs so this is not good for the team.

They’ll have a temporary head coach for a year. I doubt there’s any “money” coaches out there who are available.

His coaching contact says otherwise...

What the married father of four failed to mention, both at a news conference and to Long, was the presence of a 25-year-old female passenger during the accident. That passenger was Jessica Dorrell, a former Arkansas volleyball player and Razorback Foundation fundraiser who Petrino had hired to a football-department position just days before the accident.

That revelation was made public when the state police released the accident report days later. Petrino informed Long of Dorrell’s presence 20 minutes before the police released the report to the public, also admitting to what he called a previous inappropriate relationship with Dorrell.

The girl had a helmet on that Bobby's wife helped him pick out to wear himself.
They're both very lucky that they weren’t both killed.

According to an Arkansas athletic department member, they tried to keep him and have some minor penalties but he would not agree to any terms so they fired him.

The guy’s making $3.7 mil a year.

Surely he could have hired an ex-Clinton staffer to handle “bimbo eruptions”
