SCANDAL TV SHOW

Posted on 04/12/2012 12:32:25 PM PDT by Allen In Texas Hill Country

I finally got around to watching the new ABC series Scandal. Didn't know I was going to watch a 45 minute commercial for The Creep (you know, The SOB,,, BO). But I get ahead of myself. The previews portrayed it as a crisis solving group headed up by this black chick. Sounds like it might be worth watching. And YES, I watch TV.

Skipping ahead a bit as she is trying to find if a client is innocent of murder it is learned that she use to work in the White House. And in fact the current occupant of the WH has a crisis to solve but she won't take the case unless she can speak directly to him. I was a bit surprised, not a her. And now she is waiting in the Oval Office and I cannot wait to see The Creep look alike.

WHOOAAAAAA! In walks a Mitt Romney look alike. Actually I recognized the actor but anyways hmmmmm The Creep must have lost the election. How can this be on ABC,,,,,,,,, I mean a repubo prez??????? He convinces her to take the case and then 35 minutes later (to keep it short) he lied like a rug. NO no no no a dirty rotten slimy SOB of a repubo. Those GD republicans. Several times I heard the phrase "hate republicans".. What a commericial put on by one Shonda Rhimes, creator, producer, writer. She portrays this is what would happend if The Creep were to lose the election.

Who is Shonda Rhimes???,,, Turns out she has created/produced several popular shows. Guess she must have felt like taking all her chips and betting them on The Creep. This first episode was 120% politics. Her first client she was trying to prove innocent,,,,,,, turns out he was a highly awarded Marine that was trying to stay in the closet. All about politics.

You're much more gracious than I.
It didn't make it past the first commercial break on my TV
- and I had been looking forward to it for a week based on the previews. So disapponting.

a show bashing conservatives and republicans?

i guess the advertisers don’t want my business.

please make a list of the products and companies you see advertised during the show.

i’ll make sure to:

1. call the companies advertising
2. express my dismay that they would support the bashing / vilification of 50% of the country
3. inform them i will not purchase their product for the next year unless changed
4. inform them i will express my outrage to my friends

a few thousand people doing the above will make them think twice about funding any media bashing conservative / republican / small govt / tea parties

I'll give the show one more chance.

I wouldn't give ANY show on ABC,NBC or CBS even one chance. They have proven over and over they play politics and they only play for their side.

I also watched it. I will not be watching it again. Nothing terribly interesting about it. I got tired of the lead character lady being worshipped by her employees.
By the way - how are the bluebonnets by you?

We drove to SA yesterday and the center medium (?) was very very colorful near the whole way. We live on top of a hill (of rocks) so we don’t see many around us.

Yeah, the worshiping was a bit over the top too.

I will never watch it again—one dose of Obama/Progressive/Gay propaganda is enough for me. Sorry I still miss 24.
