I have not been posting as much on FR lately. I have been dealing with a lot of health issues in recent months. A lot of it is personal and some of my friends don't even know about about everything im dealing with. I have not wanted to be seen as whining or overwelming someone with my own problems.
I initially rejected the idea. But I have decided that spening 6 to 12 months in a nursing home is the best thing for me right now. I can focus on outpaitent therapy and get the care I need.
I am having a lot of problems with my muscles and joints (related to R.A.) I have stomach probs/bathroom accidents and it is getting more and more difficult to take care of my own hygine. plus other personal probs... A lot of this takes a toll on me emotionally as well..
I will feel weird staying in a nursing home at the age of 26. I am a father, im a husband. But we believe it is the best thing for me right now. to hopefully improve physically and emotionally..
ty for keeping me in your prayers
I’ll be praying for you and your family till you are fully healed and back with them at home.
thank you so much..
my wife has her hands full with work and we have two daughters (twins).. i have came to the conclusion that..for now.. i need more help than what I can get here at home..
Prayers for you. Stay strong and positive.
Sorry to hear of you illness- prayers up for a speedy and full recovery.
Prayers for you s_ohio.
Taking time to rest and heal is extremely important. FReepers were gracious enough to pray for my sister recently. Like you, she is young, a parent, and is typically an extremely strong person who doesn't like to trouble others. When she was finally admitted to the hospital, she was literally on the verge of dying. She needed 3 surgeries and almost 2 months in the hospital to recover.
I also understand how you feel. I spent 9 years battling a chronic illness that at times would render me completely incapacitated. This was unacceptable, as I was wife, mother, and held down an important full-time job. Extremely frustrating, often-times depressing, other times agonizing. It was not until I put myself first (because I had no other choice) that we were able to get to the root of the problem. I now have my life back.
Do what you must, SE, to heal and get back on your feet. You are in a war for your health; you are not surrendering, you are retreating and regrouping to fight the battle ahead.
Prayers for you, your family, and for a full restoration. Please keep us posted.
I am so sorry to hear of your problems. I will pray that you will be able to overcome them. I know the Lord will be with you through it all.
Prayers for a recovery.
May God intervene to speed your healing.
God Bless.
Prayers to surround you.
While not 26, I was in rehab for almost a year, but at the other end, I was much better for having done what was necessary, and my family still has me and my love for them. Keep the faith, brother Freeper!
Have you been tested for celiac disease? Gluten sensitivity?
Prayers up, kiddo.
Hopefully, you can get back on your feet before they drive you over the edge. I wish you only the best.

You’ll be in my prayers at Mass this morning.
be positive....despite all the criticism of nursing homes, most of the people try very hard to be good to their patients....
have family visit often....
mostly, know that sometimes we have to just bite the bullet to try to get better....
we'll be praying for you....
please keep posting and let us know how you're doing...
here on FR we talk about the most serious of world issues, issues we think will crack the world right open if not addressed correctly....
but you're finding and we all should know: our worlds are really very small, that what affects our health, our families is really what is most important...
God bless you for being open about this, and good luck young man...
Prayers going up for a speedy recovery. Please let us know how you’re doing when you can. May God bless you and your family.
You’ll be in my prayers, FRiend. May God blee you and your family in every way.
Thanks for sharing. I have reposted this thought on my facebook page.

BTW, FR works well under these conditions. Only website around that has folks praying for you and discussing politics AND science and health.
Stay tuned.
Prayers for you and your family.
God bless you.
Good ON ya for recognizing that you need help that you can’t provide for yourself.
Do NOT allow the stigma of “nursing home” to hinder your progress. Just the simple fact that you will have help will make almost miraculous progress in the first months. The relief of having the help and care that you need will go a long way toward helping the healing process.
Never EVER give up on yourself!

I will keep you in my prayers. If you get bored in there keep a journal. It’s good therapy AND it could form the basis for some interesting articles or a book. Nursing homes have their own cultures going on complete with romance, neighbors who can’t get along, scandals, what happens in the evening hours, and the poignancy of hundreds of personalities in difficult situations.
Oh my. You seem to be suffering with such challenges at this time. I pray for you. I join your many friends at FR to ask Our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to heal you—to put you on the right path in body and in spirit. Do keep us informed of your situation.
God bless you.
You are in my prayers today.
