I like it!

What’s the allen wrench for?

Thanks. What worries me now is the recoil that poor little $40 scope is trying to take. After that range trip, I removed the sight, used the good blue Loctite on the screw threads, and re-mounted it. Let it cure good, then went back to the range a few days later to do a re-sight-in.

I fired quite a few more rounds this time, and after the last group (photo below) I noticed the flyer at 9:00 o'clock. Looked down at the scope, and it had moved. Reaction to recoil is pushing it forward. It had even pulled the barrel bands cockeyed, as a result of the sight trying to force the upper handguard forward. Scratching my head for a solution to this one!

I’m not sure about the allen wrench. Maybe for mounting the laser and adjusting retention on the holster.

I do like the extra mag on the holster, but I bet it’s pretty heavy on the belt with a full load.

Not bad. What kind of ammo were you using?

It would be interesting to see if a heavy bullet would tighten it up (my experience has been that the heavier bullets are more consistent at 100 yards 182gr “Yellow Tip”).

I'm certain you are correct that I could do better with a heavier bullet. These were some of the old 147 grain Russian mil-surp rounds. They're reliable, and I love'em cause they're so doggone cheap, but a better and heavier round would probably give me tighter groups.

Right now, I'm just trying to figure out how to keep that Red Dot from sliding on the dovetail. LOL.

Hmmmm...

For what it’s worth, my barrel bands shift from heavy shooting with just the plain iron sights.

On this one, the Red Dot sight had actually slid forward and butted up against the upper handguard. Then, I guess when a round was fired, the sight pushed the handguard forward, which made the barrel rings twist cockeyed.

Maybe I can find a skilled welder (who knows not to overheat the barrel), and get him to weld a small stop of some kind on top of the barrel, so the sight could go "this far and no farther". I dunno, still thinking. But I do like the sight itself. Pretty neat.

Yeah they do. The owner of the shop was super responsive, sent me an e-mail in 10 min. Shipped on Tuesday, received by FFL ( http://oldcannon.com )on Saturday am. In my hands Saturday pm.

I joke that I have to drive all the way on the other side of Pflugerville to get to FFL. It takes about 10 min.

LOL

Almost as nice as my CM9.

I wouldn’t mind having the M&P or the Kahr.

Both are good carry guns.

What holster do you use for the CM?
