Trayvon Martin's killer showed signs of injury: neighbors (Prosecutor's case falling apart)
reuters ^ | 4/16/2012 | Chris Francescani

Posted on 04/17/2012 3:39:30 AM PDT by tobyhill

Neighbors of George Zimmerman say he had bandages on his nose and head the day after he shot dead Trayvon Martin, supporting statements by the neighborhood watch volunteer that he was beaten in a confrontation with the black Florida teenager.

The extent of Zimmerman's injuries could be crucial to his legal defense under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law, which allows the use of deadly force when someone has the reasonable belief he could face death or great bodily harm.

Police said Zimmerman, who has been charged with second-degree murder in the racially charged case, was bleeding from the nose and the back of his head and was treated by medics before being taken to Sanford police station after the February 26 shooting.

But public doubts were later raised by the release of a grainy surveillance video from the police station in which no injuries were readily visible.

Seems no one has bothered to question the emergency workers who were first responders to the incident, the ones who took care of Zimmerman. They would be the first people I would have questioned. They should have no axe to grind, unless they too were Holder’s people......

I believe that Zimmerman did everything more or less right: any neighborhood watch member who didn't take notice of somebody in a hoodie traversing his area (watch any recent crime video to see what the criminal was wearing to hide his identity) would be derelict in his duties. Then he called the police and kept them informed as he waited for them to arrive. His only fault was not expecting the assault by Martin. If you are tracking someone who may be a bad guy, you should be prepared for the bad guy to turn on you.

The unspoken truth is that gated communities exist to keep the hoodies out, n'est-ce pas?

It’s difficult to inflict injury on another who was defending himself if the perp is dead.

I'm guessing that they were questioned, but that their answers didn't fit the "lynch zimmerman" narrative that the black race pimps want to tell.

Holder’s and Sharpton’s feral natives are itching for a “Race War” to divert/subvert Obamaumau’s possibility of being dethroned.

It is going to be one hot summer. I am ready.

IIRC Zimmerman himself did NOT know that the nose was broken until he sought medical help the next day. There is also a “slight” concussion involved.

Let the judge/jury hear from an expert what results from brain damage.

FROM MAYO:
A concussion is a traumatic brain injury that alters the way your brain functions....

"Trayvon Martin's killer..."

Couldn't bring themselves to simply call him "Zimmerman" or even "Mr. Zimmerman".

Nope. Neither sensational nor inflammatory nor judgmental enough for the media. Nosireebob.

Yep, again the media is bias and grossly so. See the white northeastern type liberal in the media along with the race hustlers like Sharpton and Holder want all white people to be like that guy beaten down in the Baltimore case that’s made it to youtube. Just remain still on the ground and get hit and have your pants pulled down for extra humiliation by the black thug(s) and do nothing like a big p^ssy.
They can’t stand all the self defense and stand your ground laws and want them abolished.

Sorry ain’t gonna happen below the mason dixon.

(w/apologies to Elton John)

sung to the melody of ‘Levon’...

Trayvon groupies wear hoodies like a crown
You would think that thug was Jesus
Trayvon, oh they all now love that name,
Like Martin, Malcom, Jesse and Fat Al...

Trayvon, Trayvon’s Momma wants that money!
She’ll win a lot they say,
With lawyers, and race pimps by the bushel,
They’re countin’ that money every single day!

And Trayvon! He say “you gonna die now!”
As he reached for Zimmerman’s gun,
But Zimmerman, he was faster than Trayvon,
And pulled the trigger, and blew that thug away...

And Trayvon! Trayvon’s Momma’s goin’ to Venus!
(that’s the Venus Botox Clinic & Soul Food Diner)
The race pimps blow up new balloons each day,
But soon they’ll all leave Trayvon far behind,

And they shall shout TRAYVON!
And they’ll say he was a good man!
And they shall shout TRAYVON!
And put a bounty out on Zimmerman!

They shall scream Traaaaayvonnnn!!!

Was talking to my neighbor last evening. (He has his own gun range) He doesn't have the money to collect gold and silver, but he has a large collection of lead.

There are many states above the Mason Dixon line that would fit your description. If Lugar looses in IN, it will because the NRA support of Mourdock. The gun toting, Bible bearing Hoosiers are involved in this election.

The prosecutor has no case and she knows it. This whole trial is about smoothing over the crowd that got stirred up by Sharpton and Jackson.

Don’t worry they will be back when the case is over.

Let’s hope.

NRA needs to put a buzz into Rick Scott’s ear about his pandering as well.

~Scott also mentioned that a task force headed by Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll will be reviewing the state’s laws, including the Stand Your Ground law.~

That was from an article posted today on FR. Scott also once again said this was about “Justice for Trayvon.”

“Moments before he died, Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend. She recalled him saying that he put his hoodie up because Zimmerman had been following him.”

Suspicious move. Whereas Crump the attorney says Martin had his hoodie up because it was raining.

What about justice for the person being assaulted?

Got an email address? We need to call him on his comment about justice for Trayvon....Justice is suppose to be blind in all cases. Blind to race, Blind to age, Blind to outside threats and presure. He is not taking the oath to defend the constitution seriously.

I was once hit between the eyes and did not know my nose was broken until the xray was taken, and while it hurt when it happened, it hurt more the next day when everything started to swell.

And about 24 hrs after it happened, the usual black eye appeared....

I would imagine if you went thru a windshield or got hit by a 2x4 it would be worse looking much sooner.

And like I said yesterday, when someone is banging your one and only brain against concrete-AND the BACK of your skull which is more sensitive, there are only 2 outcomes:

Maiming or death...that’s it.

It is a MUST that you defend yourself because it is life threatening; smashing the head is not like breaking an arm-and I think that’s one reason they will lose.

The extent of Zimmerman's injuries could be crucial to his legal defense under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law, which allows the use of deadly force when someone has the reasonable belief he could face death or great bodily harm.

Again with this nonsense?! This has NOTHING to do with the SYG law - assuming that Zimmerman is being truthful (and independent accounts and physical facts tend to show that he is), this was a case of PURE PERSONAL DEFENSE. He wasn't under a "reasonable belief" that he was going to be attacked, he was ACTUALLY UNDER ATTACK. Why can't anyone get that straight? This would be a SYG case only if Zimmerman shot Martin BEFORE being attacked, based on a claim that he thought that he would be attacked and suffer death or serious bodily injury.

Self defense, folks, self defense. That guy was about to have the back of his head caved in. That's a valid defense in ANY state of the union, because he had no ability to retreat (which makes SYG laws irrelevant).

Oh, and YES, this is a purely political prosecution. There's a reason that the police didn't arrest him before the circus started, and that's because the evidence and testimony that the police gathered showed that Zimmerman was defending himself. Zimmerman should sue Florida for malicious prosecution once he is acquitted.

Conversation between me and Mom this morning on the phone:

Me: perhaps it’s a good thing if this goes to trial. Then the TRUTH will come out.

Mom: But if they find Zimmerman “Not Guilty” “They’ll” RIOT!

Me: So now we have to direct the outcome of our justice system to coincide with the chosen verdict of a mob?

Mom: Yeah...you’re right.

(First time I ever won and argument with Mom! LOL!)

If (when) it turns out Geo. Zimmerman is not guilty of second degree murder, I'll be very interested to see how all the shameless racists react.
