A Texas man claims that his beloved dog Cisco was shot point blank by a police officer who responded to a call at the wrong address.

Michael Paxton, 40, said he and his Australian cattle dog Cisco were relaxing and playing Frisbee in his Austin backyard on Saturday afternoon when he decided to go get something from his truck in the driveway.

As he approached his truck, he said he saw something from the corner of his eye and looked up to see a police officer who immediately drew his weapon and told Paxton to put his hands up.

Black cop? White-Blue Healer? Sounds like a race crime to me.

These douche-bag, dog-killing cops have got to be reined in (collared).

As more dogs are capped, more dog owners will become desensitized.

Stay tuned for the combat vet, dog owner, that isn’t shocked and awed.

I keep expecting him, or maybe her. I know there are people who would react with vengeance, but most people only think they would. And each situation is unique. There are any number of variables that could affect a person’s ability or willingness to exact revenge. Most of us take our responsibilities seriously, and that can be a real hindrance to fulfilling Internet tough guy fantasies.

I think, for a lot of people out there, Internet tough guy fantasies are starting to blur into everyday reality. The rhetoric is hardening fast. So are the attitudes. The average, law-abiding, productive, socially responsible person is getting tired of being pushed around.

Just saying.

No one person is most people. I believe there are situations in which you would be likely to get immediate revenge for such an act. I also believe there are situations in which Michael Paxton would have reacted with violence. human nature being what it is, he reacted as most people do.

Everyone has their breaking point, and people are being pushed farther every day. Someone’s bound to return fire on one of these power hungry cops. I hope somebody gets good video, to serve as a warning to other dirty cops.

KLBJ had this topic yesterday morning. Typical APD behavior.

This is going to have the effect of people not trusting the cops on their property for any reason.

This ‘wrong address’ issue comes up way too often.

So wrong on every damn level. At the wrong address, shoots a dog on the yard after pulling a gun on an innocent person. There should be justice here.

Is 0bama due in Austin soon? Perhaps APD was filling out the menu.
