A Hillsborough, New Hampshire family lost everything in a fire, including the dog that saved their lives. Im not crying for the mess. Im crying for the dogs, said Paul Sousa, Sr. as he looked at the charred heap that used to be his trailer home. When fire tore through the home Thursday night, he and his son escaped with just minutes to spare thanks to their five year old beagle, Dupa.

Yep. That last full measure of devotion. That's their job. And they know it. Like the dad that saves his kids and dies in the process.
Good dog. I'm sure he's missed.

That dog was not a Dupa, in spite of his name he was a Bohater.

2 for sure that I know of. One took a rattlesnake bite for me. She did live. But it was ugly. She wasn't my dog, she was a ranch dog, but we were best buds.
The other was there for me when I (unknowingly) rented a former crack house in a cheap neighborhood, and some youts came to visit at 3AM. Randy was my dog, and he's buried in my current back yard. I wanted him buried on the family estate.

I have long believed it is not an accident that dog is God spelled backwards.

Did they say what started the fire? Usually either a lit cigarette or an electrical issue.

Just wish I knew how to post some pictures of my pack.
Jack is the most noble and brave guy I have ever met.
Honey is the most loving and dedicated girl I have ever known.
And Georgey is the most delinquent kid I have ever tried to raise, he is still a puppy. I live alone in a very isolated location and would probably go insane without my boys and girl to keep me company and keep me on my toes. They are all pound puppies and I can’t for the life of me figure out why some body else did not want them for part of their family. God has blessed me by sending these angels into my home and my life.

Dogs are such incredible companions. If he had 5 cats instead of the 5 dogs, the cats would have all escaped, the family would have perished and the fire investigators would have found a torched bag of catnip as the source.

Sweetie, I beg to differ. My husband tried to avoid falling on one of our cats who faked him out; he fell, injuring his knee. At the time, we had three cats who came over to him while he was on the floor, writhing in pain. They gathered around him, guarded him, and wouldn’t leave. The Creator has blessed us w/superlative canine and feline companions. Perhaps you haven’t been blessed w/the correct cats.
To: Silentgypsy
I'm not a cat person and my post was based on the very hilarious cat/dog diary. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend looking it up and reading it.

Is that the one in which the dog is having an incredibly good time and the cat is chafing under the cruel human captors and plotting his escape?
