Treat all foreign material appearing on your lawn as IEDs in Iraq.
What’s the source? Link provided doesn’t work.
Ping,!
When the County Mounties show up on your premises with written warnings, it is time to take notice of the problem!
The local yutes are doing this around our vicinity. Someone is going to be seriously injured!
Pay attention to your A/O!
Let’s see... Shake it up and throw it where? Neighbor’s trash can?
Detonating them with a .50 caliber machine gun isn't really an option for me, which really sucks.
Tin foil? Then maybe we’re safe — the stores don’t sell household tin foil, it’s all aluminum foil.

No linky provided as this was a flyer handed out by the local authorities that are going door to door (or in my case farm to farm).
Where was this?
If I see aluminum foil inside of a plastic bottle I will think about bombs. I have heard of bombs made with rolled up aluminum foil inside of 1.5 litre plastic bottles with certain chemicals added.
:: Drano, tin foil, and water ::
Chemically, the reaction involves ^aluminum^ foil, not Tin (which, IIRC, cannot be purchased by the general public anyway).
North Minnesota.
“Detonating them with a .50 caliber machine gun isn’t really an option for me, which really sucks.”
What, the plastic bottles or the kids?
That link shows this is not a hoax. Interesting that, when reading it, the local authority must have cut and pasted their warning flyer from that site! It’s almost word for word!
Whichever.
This is from my local newspaper earlier this month, sounds like the same thing.
thanks
Drano, check. Water, check. Tinfoil....tinfoil? All I can get is that aluminum stuff!
