Those 2 guys on motor cycles could walk over and grab him while he’s waiting for the stop light to turn green.

That one motorcycle dude talking to him is a definite Harley Dude. Now he has some black car following him, too. Maybe they all want to buy towing insurance from him!

things I miss about living in SoCal. The high speed chases on TV.

I remember anchor/idiot Paul Moyer breathlessly declaring during the famous OJ-Bronco 'chase', when an overpass camera caught Cowlings behind the wheel................"KABC can NOW confirm there is at least one person in that Bronco!!"

Didn’t Eddie Murphy already do that in “Beverly Hills Cop”, and something in an episode of Miami Vice?

Cops on the ground aren’t chasing him anymore but they have a bear in the air following.

Sh*t! Now they're in Glendale, the city that Kim "Jungle Fever Runs in my Blood" Kardashian wants to mayorize!!

How will she handle this mayhem?

So, why are they ‘chasing’ him?

I haven’t heard the helo guy say why they are following him.

Where did they go through earlier? Looked like a nice area - thought it was Sunset, maybe Brentwood.

Looks like he got tired of driving.

He stopped, got out, went to the sidewalk and laid face down while awaiting the police to cuff him.

Looks like it ended in Glendale at the intersection of N. Brand Blvd. and W. Mountain Street.

I only saw the last few minutes of this all, but Glendale and Brentwood (I used to work feet from where Breitbart collapsed and died in Brentwood) are miles apart.....I'm guessing this thing was nowhere close to the westside of L.A.

My memory's a bit hazy, since it's been 30 years since I was a Glendale resident, but I'm betting that the takedown was within two blocks of the apartment wifey and I lived in around 1980.

I lived in California for many years, and the live high speed chases were (and still are, apparently) a staple of Southern California television, especially when you consider there are at least six L.A. TV stations with news departments and helicopters, all competing for viewers and ratings.

I live in Maine now, and back in the late spring of 2006, my (now) late father and I drove to a VIP store in Bangor, Maine to buy new tires for my father’s vehicle. I noticed a crowd gathered around a TV set in the waiting room, and when I went to join them, I was surprised to see a high speed chase on an L.A. freeway. I explained to everyone that this is a common occurence in southern California. I sure didn’t expect to see a live L.A. freeway police chase on a TV in Maine.

In 1991 I lived in the Santa Ynez Valley, in Santa Barbara County. One day I turned on the TV, and the California Highway Patrol was chasing a stolen red vehicle which looked similar to a Volkswagen rabbit. When the vehicle eventually stopped on the shoulder of the freeway, the armed suspect was fired upon by the CHP officer. All the windows of the vehicle were shot out, and the suspect was killed. All on live TV.

I remember when they had that tank chase. They opened up the lid and killed the guy right then and there. Turns out he stole that tank out of the armory in the town I lived in at the time.

I remember that tank chase, too! I think it was in San Diego. The guy stole a tank, side-swiped parked cars, ran over and flattened other parked cars, and then either got stuck or broke down or whatever. They showed the police lifting the lid and opening fire inside.....all on live television.

I lived in Brentwood for 18 years. I miss the city!!!! I was working in the valley during the OJ “chase” and it was hell getting home that night and the week following. Sunset was closed off and every lookyloo in LA was in Brentwood.

The tank got stuck on the k rail on the freeway and lost its track. I remember if you saw it live you saw them kill the guy, after that they didn’t show it. I my opinion if he had wanted to kill people he had many chances.

Oh well he did decide to do it and his death was the outcome, his choice.

Two days before the Nicole Simpson murder, I had a date with a guy in Brentwood. When it happened it was so weird that I had just been blocks away from her home.

I also lived in Brentwood myself a decade earlier. As a UCLA student - on Kiowa. Then I moved to Switzerland, and one day my boss there told me he owned a condo building in Los Angeles, where I was from, and he told me the address. It was on Kiowa! Literally across the street from my college days apartment! Small world.
