Uh, well.....I’d look pretty much like I looked a month ago. I rarely wear makeup, it’s expensive and time consuming.

I no longer feel the need to seek the approval of others, so I don’t. Different strokes for different folks, though.

She did wash her hair—just used “cheap” shampoo (w/sulfites). One part of her monthly salon regime was a pricey keratin treatment for her hair. It glosses and smoothes the hair shaft. You HAVE TO use a sulfite free shampoo to maintain the keratin, cheap shampoos break it down (and hair goes back to limp and frizzy.

Wow. I am impressed, to the point that I find it hard to believe. I've known so many men who fall in love with their eyes instead of their hearts, and then wonder why their hearts get broken and become embittered FR wimmin-haters.

Another thing you will notice--a man whose self-esteem depends on his wife's appearance is also due to many divorces.

Not to mention leaving her nails to lose the polish rather than just remove is a weak attempt to make a better before and after comparison.

I'm a Doctor,
One learns to look beneath the surface for meaning
The story is much too long for here

Nurses are frequently very good judges of ones worth
So are Pastors / Priests
To see past the veil

I also had gotten burned badly as a teenager
by one who was “gorgeous” but empty

It was a painful lesson, but most durable

Married for >3o years, she aint killed me yet

The Divorce is due to a breach of oath

But, be that as it may
Love of Self is a projection of God's Love
ANYTHING else is an illusion,
and will collapse like a house of cards

I, too, have gone many years without makeup.

I only wear makeup probably 2 out of 7 days. It’s minimal use at that. I actually feel better without a lot of makeup on..

Personally, I’ve not worn makeup in years. What of it?

Outstanding commentary on this...

Till We Have Faces
To my mind, one of C.S Lewis’ Greatest works

It will break your heart,
and give it back to you both mended and much stronger

How can we meet the Gods face-to-face
till we have faces

How can we gaze upon His Face
when we wear all these veils and the masks

At the end of your post, I was anticipating the word “thing” rather than “makeup.”

Similar story here, in high school tried eye shadow and at the end of the day it dried out my eyelids, making them wrinkly... no more of that!

If i put anything on my face i would get zits... had oily skin and still have to this day... if it says ‘contains moisturizer’ forget it.... still gives me trouble.

Angelina Jolie with and without makeup. Just search for the many pics of celeb women without makeup.

Much of the time, an actress or model is successful primarily because her facial bone structure makes a good platform for makeup.
