You should be mad at yourself for not bothering to pay attention to this 20 years ago when the computers first started going in cars. Oh and that “GM turning cars off” thing, it’s called OnStar people PAY GM for that service and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the accident data, tough of course needs to have a computer part of the car to work.
The OnStar thing would be fine if you want it. You buy an expensive auto & it’s a sure way to stop the vehicle if it gets stolen. The issue is government control - mandating such things which will drive up the cost of all vehicles & adding a little extra something so that THEY can control us or fine us or whatever.
I’ve been angry for more than 20 years about the direction this country has been going. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to convince even those closest to me that Gov’t cannot be trusted. I guess they’ll figure it out when they start receiving fines for driving 30 in a 25 zone.
