(Wo)man bites dog

An Illinois woman bit the family dog after returning home drunk over the weekend, police said Monday.

Analise J. Garner, 19, of Lake in the Hills, was charged with animal cruelty, domestic battery and underage drinking. Police were called to her home around 4 a.m. Sunday after neighbors reported loud screaming and pounding, Sgt. Mike Smith said.

Police said Garner scratched and hit her 37-year-old mother in the face and also bit her on the right hand. Police said the family's 80-pound English bulldog had three bite marks on its back. Puncture marks were visible against the dog's white fur, police said.

"The bulldog finally did bite her back in self-defense," Smith said. "There were no charges against the dog."

I am probably asking too much for the officer’s “no charges against the dog” to be sarcastic.

May be a touch extreme. After all the dog finally bit her back. She may just have not learned this lesson at age 3. You bite the doggie, the doggie will bite you back.

Drunk idiots are more salvageable than genuinely cruel sadistic people. They generally are not the same kinds of people.

Imho, she needs a psychological evaluation.

They generally are not drunken idiots ALL the time. They are more likely to be able to be rehab’d into a better person. A genuinely nasty sadistic bastard most likely cannot.

And usually the younger the person is, the more likely they can become a better person. It’s ones that have lived like that 20, 30 years and look like death that are the ones that are pretty much lost.

I do hope the dog’s Tetanus injections are up to date.

Never mind that this incident was likely just incidental. The “woman” (should’ve known - “collegiate” teenager, with a mother too young) was clearly combative, apparently beating up on her mother. The dog just got in the way.

Of course, I’m also surmising the possibility that the dog came to defend the mother, and just got bitten before s/he could bite teenage woman.
