Levi Johnson, the father of Sarah Palin's grandson, plans to name his new daughter after a gun.
Jonson, 21, will call his second child Breeze Beretta Johnson. Her middle name is inspired by the Italian firearms manufacturer Beretta.
He and his new girlfriend, Sunny Oglesby, are expecting after Sunny forgot to bring her birth control during a weekend escape to a hunting cabin.

Women need to understand that guys like Levi make better pets if you get them neutered.
Show what kind of a WUSS he is. Naming your kid after a WUSSIE 9mm “Weapon”. If he had ANY “manliness” he would have named the kid “Thompson(.45 ACP/M1911)”!
Naming her after a gun (Beretta) isn’t so strange as naming her after a laundry detergent (Breeze).
Kimber would have made a better name.
Ha, I have a cousin that owns a Barrett 50 cal. He is a competitive shooter as well. They named their son Barrett.
When I hear the Beretta name...I think of shotguns, not [sex] pistols
I have a whole box full of “Levi for President ‘32” stickers I had printed up. Oh well...
Wait til this POS has *twins*....then we’ll have to endure Smith and Wesson.
I know a kid named Colt Wesson Smith.
I think Mossberg would be a better name then he could nickname the kid Butch.......
Imho, Levi has a sub-normal IQ.
Ummm, Beretta makes lots of weapons that are not 9 mm. The Beretta Model 96, for instance, fires the decidedly unwimpy .40 S&W. They also make some really nice shotguns.
I’m getting flashbacks of the first 5 minutes of Idiocracy...
“Clevon is lucky to be alive. He attempted to jump a jet ski from a lake into a swimming pool and impaled his crotch on an iron gate. But thanks to advances in stem cell research and the fine work of Doctors Krinsky and Altschuler, he should regain full reproductive function again.”
Who cares? Beretta is a great name. So is Winchester, Ruger, Colt, and Browning. Or Mauser. Or Heckler. Or Koch. Or Enfield. And Stoner. Or Bauer. And Smith or Wesson.
The Clintons named their daughter after a football team
Im sure the Breeze will blow through a lot of people’s lives . .
Too often, those not of breeding stock manage to breed a LOT.
Did he find a small towel inside her?
The football world knows a fellow named Colt McCoy who played QB at Texas and is now with the Browns.
I can see it on the marquee... "She'll blow you away!"
Is it b/c Hillary’s long standing namesake Sir Edmund was a Kiwi?
T thought he would name him, Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho Johnson.
The .40 S&W is essentially a reduced power 10mm. It was invented because some folks (at the FBI, IIRC) couldn't handle the full power 10mm.
In the early 1990s, we called it the .40 Short & Wimpy.
[FWIW< I don't know who half these people are]
I know a kid named Colt Wesson Smith.
Lived next door to a guy in college whose parents apparently favored more manual weaponry: Lance Spear.
OK, I think his last name was spelled Speer.
“In the early 1990s, we called it the .40 Short & Wimpy.”
Thus displaying your ignorance for all to see. Look at the kinetic energy available in most .40 rounds and you’ll see that on average they have more energy than most .45 rounds. There are a few +P rounds for .45 now that have more energy than the .40 but not many. The 10mm is overkill in a police application. The .40 also allowed the manufacturers to make a more potent pistol with high magazine capacity on 9mm frames. But hey, you keep believing that .45 is a death ray.
My neighbor named his son Remington.
LOL...aficionados of pop culture are compiling a list [elsewhere]....I pray there is no goal for *1911*.....
Noreaster Springfield Armory.
Well, that’s better than calling her Glock.
Yes, that's what you're doing.
Compare the .40S&W to the 10mm Auto from which it was derived, and you'll see why we used to call it that. It was a joke. Laugh.
Maybe you just had to have been there ...
I think “SIG” stands for “Swiss Industrial Corporation” (Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft), but also “Lord” in Italian. So its a great name.
Oh, for the lack of a smiley. I’ll give you Short and Weak is apt if the comparison is to a 10mm. Many people though don’t understand the comparison and think it applies to 9 mm and .45 ACP also. The .40 is probably the best self defense cartridge out there right now. Most police departments seem to agree. It offers pretty much everything the .45 does plus greater magazine capacity. Not that I would mind carrying a nice .45 if I had to. I do feel better with 14 or 16 rounds of .40 (have G22 and G23) knowing I might have to face multiple assailants.
Hehe...did you see my post number 11?
At least they're not having a son named Bigg.
Thank you ... that was the context, and the term was used by folks who were fans of the full power 10mm. Myself, for example. I'm still a tad bitter ... the .40 S&W is undeniably popular, and it pretty much killed the 10mm. Bummer ...
The .40 is probably the best self defense cartridge out there right now.
I've retired from the "caliber wars". The .40 S&W (short and wimpy or not) has proven itself a reliable fight stopper, most of the time, if the shooter does his job. 9mm Para, .45ACP, .357 Mag, etc are also reliable fight stoppers, most of the time, if the shooter does his job. Shoot what you're comfortable with, use good modern ammo, and don't EVER count on "1 shot stops" from a pistol. Any pistol. When the bad guys have decided not to fight any more they'll let you know ...
My current CCW piece is a 9mm. ;'}
“the .40 S&W is undeniably popular, and it pretty much killed the 10mm”
Speaking of killing off cartridges. Probably my favorite handgun is my 4” S&W 686. A lot of new shooters today think revolvers are quaint but not very effective. I was at the range with it about a year ago when a couple of 20 somethings shooting 9mm said, “What are you doing with that old thing? You know you probably can’t hurt anyone with it?”. I just shook my head and said, “OK”. I guess they weren’t impressed with the 1’ diameter ball of flame out of the end of it.
I love my SIG P229 in .40 S&W...plus, SIG offers a drop-in barrel in .357SIG which is a fun round to shoot.
Just bought the missus a S&W Ladysmith revolver in .38 special+p. Very nice gun...she likes it better than all the semis at her disposal.
Better than “Glock” Johnson, I guess.
Yep. Great name!
yep ... learned everything they know about guns from Hollywood ...
I guess they werent impressed with the 1 diameter ball of flame out of the end of it.
I wonder if any of them had ever seen a bullet hit anything other than a piece of paper.
Some FBI folks == female FBI agents
“I wonder if any of them had ever seen a bullet hit anything other than a piece of paper.”
Hehe. Dunno. I grew up able to shoot in the woods behind my grandmother’s house. We slaughtered watermelons, pumpkins, gallon jugs full of water, paint cans, etc., etc.
