Why I ask about what kind of Russian is simple ~ not all Russian "ethnics" are Slavic. For example, the Sa'ami lived all the way over to the Kola. Tens of thousands of them were assimilated to a degree, but earlier many had been forcibly removed by the Swedes to America, and also by the Russians to Russia.

You might want to check out where his people actually came from ~ and that's not even getting into the other groups in Russia like the Jews, Turks, Mongols, etc. There are dozens of non-Slavic groups there.
