Has the GOP-E co opted Ann Coulter?

Posted on 05/08/2012 6:20:34 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

Trent Lott famously said "We don't need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples," Lott said in an interview. "As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them." - and I know what I think.

I want to know what you think. Has she(Coulter) surrendered to the progressives within the republican establishment?

She follows the money. Local conservative talk radio is in decline, too. It’s that old slippery slope that no one wants to hear about.

Agreed! I rarely tune in and used to be daily listener.

It isn’t what they talk about, it is what they REFUSE to discuss. It is both BORING and INFURIATING! ( This includes Rush.)

Christie has appointed two judges who are in favor of Islam’s Shariah laws being “utilized” in US courts. Another way of putting that is that Christie is in favor of setting aside the US Constitution and the New Jersey constitution - subverting them - in favor of the application of the laws/regulations of a particular religion. Putting it more succinctly, Christie must therefore be in agreement with those constitutions being submissive to Islam.

Ann Coulter is infatuated with Christie; she is no conservative.

No USA-respecting conservative - no USA-respecting citizen -can be a fan or supporter of Chris Christie. If Romney picks him for VP, he’s no better.

In agreement 100%. Our local conservative, “all-talk radio” station is now carrying all Cardinals’ baseball games - so Hannity, Beck, Savage are all pre-empted. Previously the Cardinals’ games were on the “Rush” station, so he’s free and clear.

But as we here all agree about - and fume about: they’re not doing their jobs anyway, because of what they won’t discuss. What’s really disturbing - alarmingly so - is their uniform reaction when they hear the words “eligibility” and “natural born citizen”. They truly react - ALL of them - as if they were warlocks suddenly exposed to daylight and a cross in one fell swoop!

Romney is making an azz out of her. Last week she was bragging about how Romney is soooo conservative on illegal immigration. This week Mittens says he’s not so sure what he’s going to do about illegal immigration.

I know what Mittens is going to do. He’s going to do the opposite of everything he said he was going to do during the primary election.

It would be an unpleasant surprise if Christie were chosen for Veep, but I don't think Romney would choose him.

Romney doesn't strike me as someone who would want to be overshadowed in office by someone with a more robust personality.

Romney does seem to be unusually aggressive in his ego's quest to rule.

Ego's generally don't make good governors, so I hope I've misread him and his record.

I agree. I think that, early on, she had found a profitable niche, and just ran with it. Ann is an entertainer. The role she plays is "conservative firebrand".

She was trained as a lawyer, and what lawyers are trained to do is make convincing arguments supporting the position that they're paid to support, without regard to how they personally feel about what they say.
