You are correct. I liken the Tea Party folks to volunteer firefighters. They’re just everyday citizens with jobs, families to raise and bills to pay. But when the community is threatend with a fire or similar disaster they all respond. They do what it takes to get the job done, often times at great personal risk, and then return to their normal lives. No fanfare, no pissing on cop cars, no breaking windows to show how tough they are.

Salt of the earth is what I like to say.

I think the TP could and should be growing. The big problem that I see is when you get these TP candidates in office they vote for stuff like NDAA and CISPA. How do you keep the momentum when these people just pull treasonous, traitorous crap at their first opportunity? I got a laugh out of Loogie getting spat out yesterday but in the big scheme of things what’s going to change?

The defining characteristic of the Tea Party is that THEY SHOW UP TO VOTE ON ELECTION DAY WITHOUT ANYBODY BRIBING THEM TO DO SO.

Just because you don't see them rioting and defecating in the streets between elections like OWS/SEIU does not mean they have gone anywhere.

They're just waiting for the next election day, when they can turn out en masse and vote against "Progressives" again.

Let us not forget, that coming up in 2014, Lindsey Grahamesty will be up for reelection. Come to think of it, that RINO has been real, real quiet lately.

I am sure that Grahamesty has a grudging respect for the Tea Party and fiscally sane Americans.

I do hope that fair state of South Carolina will do us proud to kick Grahamesty out of office next November 2014.
