Abandoned car with dead body - parked at the airport garage - for TWO WEEKS!!!!!

Where are the security guards and are there security cameras? So much for airport security. The police should check all departures for two weeks. Looks like foul play - not suicide.

We parked in a different area there last week. Noticed the new system letting you know how many spaces are open and on what level... Was broken. The new lots ar “fairly open” so to me it is surprising she was not spotted earlier. Time to rethink the “great security” they tout at SAV. This one really should get the head of security there FIRED... But they will fire a couple of low level people. So we will all feel better.

Feb 13, 2010 - The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport has a new top security cop. The federal Transportation Security Administration has named Gerry Phelan federal security director for Savannah/Hilton Head and eight other airports in Georgia and South Carolina. His priority in Savannah, as in his previous assignments, Phelan said Friday, is "staying ahead of our adversaries." "It's a serious job, and we can't let our guard down for a minute," he said. "But it's one made easier by TSA's fantastic work force here and Savannah's southern charm.

Well good intentions and words fail again. Guess he didn't have enough time to make it secure yet. Yes and I did get groped while there, (knee replacement...get groped every time!) but while they were doing that to me there was a decomposing body only yards away.

The one in(near) Savannah. The HHI airport is a small, mostly private airplane, site. Have a great time over there. It’s very nice. Make sure you catch at least one breakfast at Signe’s.

I have been following this for a bit. The woman disappeared and they have been looking all over for her.

Was it murder or suicide? That is the question.

Thanks for the tip. We go every year... usually in mid May. This will be the first time going after Memorial Day. Have never heard of Signe’s. Will check it out. We usually go to a place on the river in Savannah. Name escapes me, but I get Cajun Tortelini and an adult Slurpee at Wet Willies!

Never had any problems at Savannah airport - but Hilton Head is my favorite - on my first outward bound trip I asked ‘which gate’ and the agent said “we only have one gate” So Southern;)

On the matter of Sun City’s 55 year age restriction - there are quite a few adult children who qualify for residency as long as one resident in the home is 55+.

These young adults mingle with their peers outside of Sun City. Apparently, there is a very lively night life crowd in Bluffton. Law enforcement needs to check all outgoing flights and taxi rides since her car was parked at the airport. If someone dumped her there - he had to have transportation from the car park...another car, taxi or flight.

Signe’s is on Hilton Head. I thought that is where you were going. Everyone on HHI knows Signe’s...just ask.

You might be going to the River House, Shrimp Factory or Huey’s (the bar in the movie Gingerbread Man).

As for really good food in Savannah, try getting into Miss Wilkes. Best food in the city.

I looked it up and it is right outside Seapines where we are staying. Menu looks awesome, we will go. I don’t know if we will be trying Miss Wilkes unless we go to Savannah twice. I have been craving that Cajun Tortelini for a year now, though I am sure I am missing out on other stuff!
