It is the second survey in a week that gives the Golden State black marks by business owners. Chief Executive magazine recently released its annual survey of Best and Worst States for business, which ranked California 50th for the eighth straight year.

CA is a failed state on a lot of fronts.

And, damn right its politicians don’t care... nor do enough voters out there, either.

Meanwhile California gets an A for being friendly to single parents by giving them government handouts. Sometimes an F isn’t a bad thing.

Hell, the communists would like to see California ban all business.

This is only because the grading is so unfair. When fair standards are applied, like, mandates to recycle, use green energy, submit environmental impact statements, and so forth, CA comes out on top. You know, sort of like how the Brady Campaign judges states by their reasonable, sensible gun laws - making Washington, D.C. come out on top year after year for its sensible policies. /liberal

They certainly would if small businesses didn't pay so well.

My wife & I just gave 24k to the city for building permits to set up another. And even then they made us jump through hoops, spending 15-20k more on compliance issues.

Legal extortion.

But, who else will look out for the environment, the atmosphere, the snail darter, the spotted owl, the Preebles jumping mouse, the unions, their cousins, and the democrat party, generally?

Good point, coloradan! I wonder how twisted the media pretzel would be if they came up with these lists. Let’s work on!

Nope, just an interior remodel for a typical commercial establishment.

You want to see real greed look no farther than city hall.
