(CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that her Catholic faith "compels" her to "be against discrimination of any kind" and thus for same-sex marriage.
A reporter asked Pelosi: “Many of the people that are opposed to gay marriage cite their religion as the reason why they're opposed. You're a Catholic that supports gay marriage. Do you believe that religion and the idea that you can support gay marriage can be separated? And how do you grapple with the idea that you support gay marriage as a Catholic?”

Maybe her bishop is afraid the a public excommunication will backfire and give Pelosi victim status. There was a bishop where I live who publically told a “Catholic” pro abortion state assemblywoman to stay away from communion. She got enough sympathy votes to get re-elected. The Republican in the race, who is non-Catholic, blamed the bishop for her narrow defeat. Pelosi is self excommunicated anyway. She will probably need asbestos underwear in the after life

exactly! she has been bringing shame to the Church (and ruin to the country) for years. Alas, the Church is incredibly negligent (to the extreme) in not rebuking and excommunicating her after all this time. She is setting a horriffic example for Christian (and all other) youth — and she is doing it in a very public way in her very public role....all while claiming she is a Christian and even doing it in the name of her socalled faith. So sorry to have to ask but where is the bishop in this?

MSNBC is going down; CNN is going down (although they lately moderated their reports - think survival); the NY Times, LA times, Boston Globe, and other liberal bird liners are going down.
All of the MSM is losing viewership/readership and losing money. As much as some here like to denigrate Fox News, it is building in viewership. So is the conservative Net news sources and blogs. I expect many of the MSM to go defunct in the next years. Good riddance.
