The servers churnt, the n00bs were toast,

"Beware the HumbleGumby, my son!

The text that rages, the phrases that bit!
Beware the albaby beeber of stune,
And the sleaxy Lazamataz hit."

He took his 'board and mouse in hand
Long time the irrascid foe he sought,
So rested he by the BreakinBar,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in moddish thought he read,
The HumbleGumby, with words of flame,
Came churling through the blarzly thread,
And yarbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The posty blasts went flamy-smack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went triumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the HumbleGumby??
Come to my arms, my troobish noll!
O Freeptious day! JimRob! JohnRob!'
He chortled in his joy.

If you have been following some of the inside baseball on Free Republic, this will make sense to you. I take no position on the controversy. I can see valid points on both sides. That is all I will say about it on this thread.

Nope. Guaranteed, it's probably a frame somewhere, and the engine is being tuned and fitted into a amateur racer as we speak.

I remember how hurt I was when Jim pulled a thread of mine about ten years ago. He said “We don’t need this.”

For a few minutes I was hurt and stunned. I left my keyboard and went out to a meeting. When I got back I got a thank you from someone involved. It put it all in perspective and I let it go.

It’s still a good approach.

As near as I can figure out, there were pitchers of beer and pool cues involved, and then when the cops came everyone swore that nothing had happened. And bought beers for one another the next night and it was all back to normal.

At least, I hope that's how it turned out.
