Where is the time line and key to the colors? I am not seeing anything but a map changing colors which means nothing without a key? Anyone, help please, would love to see a key. Thanks!

Yeah, the highlights for me were seeing the Moors get pushed out of Spain, Napoleon’s sprint into Russia, WWI, WWII and Czechoslovakia’s brief flash of freedom in 1968.

The year is at the upper left corner (kind of hard to see). I wanted to see a color key, too, but I think you can still get a lot out of it if you just accept that each color change is a different ruler, so you can see one territory/kingdom/etc. encroach on the others around it. I was watching the UK in particular and found it interesting how Ireland was Irish green then slowly became English tan, then back to green, then back to tan, etc.

Watch the area of Poland and Lithuania, many people will be surprised when they suddenly spread southward, with Lithuania spreading eastward, and stretching from the Baltic to the Black Sea.
