What you need are stories, language and music to make the case.
Don’t understand it well enough to truly know if the cultures are related or not. But i do know one thing,, a culture that understood astronomy and could build such buildings, and do such amazing stone masonry,,could have certainly have built boats and ships.
Remember, it wasnt so long ago that America was populated onlt by landbridge over Bering straits, and a southward spread 12,000 years ago. Now it’s all but a certainty that clovis culture came from europe much earlier following the last ice sheet. Also,,,sites in South America predate the old 12,000 year rule.
This is a tough field in which to truly establish hard facts. And it’s changing rapidly.

In real terms there is clearly no relationship or even a strong similarity between the two cultures.
Ethnic relationship between the two = ZERO
Religious relationship between the two = ZERO
Known contacts between the two = ZERO
Similarities in architecture, art, etc. = minimal at most, and all accidental when you consider what is involved.
The similaritites in architecture are all physics related. “This works and this here does not”.
The other similarities are common to other cultures.
As far as early colonization of the Americas, I suspect that most of the evidence is under the water of the continental shelf. The seas rose and fell a good amount during the last 200,000 years or so.
Bali was settled from some five thousand years ago by the same Austronesian people who populated and brought rice farming to the to the region as well as those who settled the Philippines and Oceania.
The architecture shown in the photos reflects Hindu influence combined with the Dong San culture from present day Vietnam. Metallurgy goes back into pre history. Burial rites in Bali included the interment of defleshed remains in pottery jars which was used in locations from Tibet to Laos and Southern China.
Bali has resisted Islam and retained a culture that was once common in Indonesia and Southeast Asia with a rather unique architecture due to the Dong Son influence. Other peoples in the large and diverse have quite diverse and unique architectural styles though Islam has largely served to suppress them.
And from whom did the American Indians (north America) get the bows and arrows?
This is all omitted from all these scholarly blah blahs.
I have read that the authentic Mayans of today still have Mongolian Spots at birth, a thing common in S.E. Asian cultures, but unique to new world.
What about the sculptures of ELEPHANTS in Maya country?

I thought the notion that Amerindians were Polynesian in origin is hardly even considered controversial. The sad thing is that web site is attaching the most ridiculous nonsense this notion.
Seems as though that a similar type of argument could be made (partly now and , based on the trend, very soon) for this Nation when comparing it to a time when the Constitutional Republic still existed to present day and/or the abject tyranny in the near future that is now unavoidable.
For some reason, pyramids are found in a lot of different cultures. It's the "stairway to heaven" idea, I guess.
Motifs like dragons are also found in very different parts of the world.
