EMMY AND GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD WINNER TOM SELLECK STARS IN JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, A NEW TELEVISION MOVIE TO BE BROADCAST SUNDAY, MAY 20
"JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT", the eighth in the series of television movies starring Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Tom Selleck as Police Chief Jesse Stone, will be broadcast Sunday, May 20 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
In JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, Jesse finds himself struggling to get his job back as the Paradise police chief, and he is forced to rely on his cop intuition to sort through a maze of misleading clues and hidden meanings as he attempts to solve a shocking and horrifying mob-related double homicide.

Tom Selleck's previous 7 "Jesse Stone" Mystery Series DVDs are listed in order, at this Amazon link:

I personally have all 7 DVDs and think this is one of the best made-for-TV-movie series ever made. This series is definitely Tom Selleck's best work, IMHO.
This 8th movie promises to be a very good one, and true to the series by the late acclaimed, author Robert B. Parker
Trivia: I was selected as an "extra" on his TV series, "Magnum, PI" Series TV episode, "Little Girl Who" in 1986, and got to know him, John Hillerman, Larry Manetti and Roger Mosley during my (business trip) stay on Oahu, Hawaii.

I wrote Selleck a letter....saying my friend and I could guard his mansion better than the dogs. I did get a typed response on a postcard with his picture. Gave it to my granddaughter.....Oops....forgot to tell her I was sorta drunk and silly when I wrote my letter.

This is one time when the movies series is better than the books.

My sister recently wrote Selleck asking for an autograph for her neighbor, who’s a big fan. He sent a picture, personalized with the neighbor’s name. He seems like a nice guy as well as handsome.

He’s one of the nicest, most personable (and Conservative) people I’ve ever met and had an all-too brief opportunity to work with, in 1986.

Tidbit of 1986 trivia. I had my pic taken w/ Tom on the “LGW” shoot, and he had his arm around my shoulder. I’m 5’10”; he’s 6’4”, and we were shoulder-to-shoulder, but I was standing on an orange crate! Hilarious pic!

I have no doubt you two could!
“The boys”, as Higgins (John Hillerman) called them, were large but very tame and friendly Dobermans on the set.

Selleck is to be congratulated on the Jesse Stone series, but don't ignore the wonderful "Blue Bloods" series he stars in. That series is a great portrait of conservative and religious values and I'm amazed that it was allowed to run on a major network.
The running family dinner scene in which grace is said and everyone crosses themself is sure to infuriate the libs...they are probably protesting it now.
Tom Selleck for President!

Blue Bloods is one of the few network shows I watch... (NCIS/ NCIS:LA, CIS:NY (Gary is another conservative), Two and a half men (John Cryer is a Republican) and the Fox Sunday Cartoons (mostly The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad) are others.)

He did a good job portraying Ike in that movie.
Selleck is one of the few you can tell is same on and off the screen, no pretense what so ever.

Tom Selleck can do no wrong in my book.
Though not a huge 'Magnum, PI' fan. I really enjoy his work in 'Blue Bloods'. For its strong conservative family message in an age of glacial cultural meltdown.
Also a big fan of Saul Rubinek and William Devane in anything. So the 'Jesse Stone' series is a must see.
I guess I'll have to stay up late and catch the encore of Sherlock tonight.

Yes, Saul Rubinek and William Devane are great in anything they do, plus there are some new (to me) actors/actresses in the “JS” Series which are also very, very good. This is a winner for TS all-around; he chose well since he co-wrote and produced one or two of the 7 so far. “BB” is a great series, and I have the 1st Season on DVD.
The season finale (43mins) of “BB” is here:
