One New York high school is making condoms available to students as they leave the prom, and the decision is sparking heated debate from many.
Penny Nance, president of Concerned Women for America, pointedly said that this is a case of a school overstepping its boundaries and “reaching into an area that is a parental responsibility.” She continued, “We know that the number one reason that kids abstain from sex is their moral values, their faith, and because of the relationship with their parents. And when the school steps in between that relationship, it’s very harmful and it makes it much more difficult for kids to abstain.”
Dr. Cathleen London argues that Penny Nance’s point simply isn’t proven by statistics and that states that have abstinence-only education have the highest teen birth rates.
Nance countered that the problem is really that the school is employing a “nanny state” mentality by cutting parents out of the situation entirely.

It is tragic that a high school would give away condoms as it will give the high school boy’s the idea to try to have sex on prom night.
The leftist doctors are wrong-—all statistics of children and teenagers having sex in great numbers occurred AFTER sex education was inserted into the schools in the 70’s. Sex Ed is designed to destroy moral values—it was designed by the “Smash monogamy” crowd—Billy Ayers types. They wanted to throw out the prevalent moral values of Christians and inserted “feel good, do it”-—They couldn’t take control of the US until the masses were so corrupt they would only think about fleshly pleasures and not pay attention to the crooks in government. Promiscuity, Divorce and abortion was really REALLY low in the US until the anarchists and leftist destroyed public education and forced their immorality into the minds of children with the help of their media—promotion of sex and dysfunctional behavior as “good’.
Handing out condoms is adults condoning sex acts between children. It also normalizes sex among children (Brave New World—they WANT all children promiscuous—it destroys parent/child relationships and intellectual development—so kids stay dumb and uneducated—more interested in “play”.)
Handing out condoms is telling kids that they have no control over their base urges-—so they NEED condoms. If they are too immature to control their base urges, they are too young to go to a dance without their parents. Schools WANT kids to stay immature and dependent-—government wants to play NANNY.
Virtue needs to be taught to young children-—it is the only reason for education. Learn Virtue and you can eventually be very wise. Never learn virtue and you have no control over base emotions-—and will end up in the gutter with no long term relationships that are healthy-—exactly what the SCHOOLS WANT-—no mature, independent, intellectual MEN. They want panty waisted, limp wristed men concerned about makeup and hair-—vain—like Edwards....so they are corrupt and immoral and useable by government.
It is why they are forcing homosexuality in the military-—it was the last part of culture that was half way decent and could turn young men around—away from the filth pumped into them all their childhood by the public schools and hollywood—to destroy virtue and logic and risk-takers. It is also why they are feminizing the military—forcing women into combat to destroy the Laws of Nature—to promote radical egalitarianism that allows for NO DIFFERENCES in the sexes-—to destroy all human qualities that make life wonderful and meaningful and will reduce the stringent training that have created the best military—and most ethical (Christian) in the history of the World. They need God out to destroy Right and Wrong so the State can dictate the NEW Right and Wrong-—that comes from Satan-—homosexuality-—It is unconstitutional because our Natural Rights are SUPPOSED to come from GOD.
Think about the liability implications if Walmart sold the same condoms that Planned Parenthood gives away. Should an user contract a life-long STD or a pregnancy result, Walmart would be vulnerable to a damage claim. Why are public schools any different? They shouldn’t be. And in my opinion they have no business sending confusing moral signals to young adults.
The older I get the more clear it becomes— the consequences of conception are so great that nobody has any business engaging in activity where there is the slightest risk of conception unless they are properly prepared to deal it.
Instead we hint that young people are free to move the dials and pull the levers of all the reproductive machinery in the hope that the machinery won’t start running correctly. We are dumbfounded when that happens. And then what is our proposed solution? Kill the unborn child. This is really, really dysfunctional.
It’s nosey and disrespectful for adults to insert themselves into the pants of young people. High school kids know how to go to the store and buy condoms. This is part of “comprehensive sex education.” Where perv adults get to assume authority in the sexual lives of young people. It’s called perverts grooming young people to accept the adults’ sexual perversion as normal.
I suppose if my date got a purse full of the free rubbers, my prospects for the evening would be looking very bright indeed.
They bought prom tickets, rented tuxes or bought gowns, hired limos, did their hair, had pictures taken, and in all that preparation, no one could stop at the local Rite-Aid? hell, the corner grocery stores and bodegas sell them at the counter these days.
Limo drivers know how to drive to CVS and Walgreens :)
Back in my day we had to buy them from gas station restroom vending machines.
