Yes they were interested. I bet that all references to the Jews being in Jerusalem have been removed from the translation. Yes they found a way to remove the jews from the Holyland.
In this translation, which son get’s Abraham’s blessing? Ishmael or Isaac.
I doubt if it will become a best seller, unlike the Arabic Translation of “Mein Kampf”.
Just FYI:
The Babylonian Talmud is 20 to 40 or more substantial printed volumes, filled with abbreviations, acronyms and obscure references. Most of the time, the text itself offers no clue as to what is accepted or authoritative and what is just a record of a disagreement. Any translation must necessarily be an interpretation, more so than almost any other text.
Next thing you know they’ll produce a translation of the Yerushalami Talmud.
