Did China steal info about US thermonuclear warheads in the 1980's and 90's? (vanity)

Posted on 06/01/2012 9:09:44 AM PDT by moonshot925

I was reading about the Cox Report. Interesting stuff.

•China stole design information regarding 7 thermonuclear weapons in the US arsenal. W56 for Minuteman II ICBM, W62 for Minuteman III ICBM, W70 for Lance SRBM, W76 for Trident C4 SLBM, W78 for Minuteman III ICBM, W87 for Peacekeeper ICBM and W88 for Trident D5 SLBM.

•These stolen secrets enabled the PLA to accelerate the design, development and testing of its own nuclear weapons.

•China's next generation of nuclear weapons would contain elements of stolen U.S. design information and would be comparable in effectiveness to the weapons used by the United States.

•Small warheads based on stolen U.S. information could be ready for deployment in 2002 also enabling China to integrate MIRV technology on its next generation of missiles.

•These thefts were not isolated incidents, but rather the results of decades of intelligence operations against U.S. weapons laboratories conducted by the Ministry of State Security. In addition, the report described the illegal activity likely persisted despite new security measures implemented as a result of the scandal.

No they didn’t steal it, BJC gave it to them.

That is what happened with the W88 tech specs.

I don’t think he gave it to them, more like he sold it to them.

Islam and collectivism, being hostile to thinking people and their thoughts and innovations, render themselves unable think up new technologies.

They must steal and borrow ideas to stay competitive.

Maybe the Chinese used google images and found a very detailed picture of a W88 warhead?

99% of the Chinese diplomats stationed in Western democracies are military and/or industrial spies. That’s been true for *years*.

I always thought that is what the Plame Game was about.

Clinton was handing out nuclear secrets and used the CIA’s Operation Merlin as a cover.

If they got caught they could claim it was classified and no one could get info.

They said they would only take Hillary if Bill would give them a dozen extra secrets and a ten foot pole.

it’s not really theft when chinese scientists are given free run around the weapons labs

you can thank bjclinton for that

and 0failure has stated he wants to ‘reset’ the program GW shutdown... allowing the chinese free access to our labs again

there use to be a phrase for people that deliberately gave national secrets to the enemy....

That pic will not help “building” such a weapon. Concept, maybe.

Long and short, BJC is a traitor too. His agenda is slightly different, and indeed involved more money for himself, but a traitor none the less. And Der Hilderbeast is much worse.

Go to any American university and look around the hard science graduate programs. Then consider that China views ethinic Chinese of any nationality as "overseas Chinese" and seeks to reach out to them along lines of racial solidarity and good old-fashioned avarice.

Trouble, oh we got trouble,
Right here in River City!
With a capital "T"
That rhymes with "C"
And that stands for China!

Clinton gave some things to them, but they also had spies stealing stuff. I remember this guy, who got caught back in the 90's at Los Alamos:

Wen Ho Lee

Yep, I remember the controversy about Wen Ho Lee.

My father-in-law spent 40 years in the weapons business. He was a division manager for 10 years of that 40 at the plant where they are made.

Every time Richardson would come to visit from NM, the only thing on his mind was finding a way to ship more of the process to NM. Security in the environment of NM is impossible.

Yes, They tried to pin the missing hard drives on Lee but all they could prove was that he had taken some work home. He was the patsy for Richardson/Clinton/Gore and Al Gore was the main bag man. Remember all the campaign donations from those Tibetan monks? The ones who took a lifelong vow of poverty? They sure had millions for Clinton though. China, that is. Traitors all.

Yes, indeed they are all Traitors.

I know a great deal about Richardson. He is a sleazy jerk that should never be trusted.

And we all know about Slick Willie and ALGOR.
