On Friday, the Houston Astros will take the field wearing a throwback version of their (in)famous 1970s "tequila sunrise" uniform. This will be the third different retro design the Astros have worn so far this season. They previously wore Colt .45s and shooting star throwbacks, with more to come, all as part of the team's 50th-anniversary celebration.
The Astros aren't the only club that's been bitten by the throwback bug this season. All across MLB, teams are turning back the clock, making this the throwbackiest, retro-est, back to basics-est year in memory -- and the season is only one-third over.
Here's a breakdown of teams besides the Astros that have been going retro, and what they've been wearing:

My Tigers don’t need throwback days. The Olde English D is transcendent!
With the way they’re getting beat up by umpires lately, they need to find out which coach is sleeping with all the umpire’s wives. Tom Brookins got thrown out 2 games in a row this week and he never gets thrown out.
Here is a classic video of Earl Weaver getting tossed, with audio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLUuxVX4Z10
Warning: lots of bad language, swearing, cussing, cursing, etc.
As long as they promise not to let Wilbur Wood pitch. That uniform looked bad on everyone, but when pot-bellied Wilbur Wood took the mound in it . . .
There was a manager who was better at on-field tirades.
Billy Martin.
Kind of a neat video of Justin Verlander and Joel Zumaya playing around during batting practice. Trying to throw a baseball into a bucket from the outfield.

LOVE the Astros “shooting star” uni’s from the late `60s. Rumor has it they will return next season with some additional flair.
My personal favorite of that team is the original Colt .45s home jersey. I have a replica that I like to wear.
They do Negro League Stars throwbacks every year, and they are great unis. The Tigers should look to some of the early 20th century jerseys from time to time to wear also. I don’t have access to my database, but pretty sure they have done some other throwbacks. Those may have been road games though.
Those aren’t bad. The brown version though...Yuck!
