...what we should be worried about is the democrat/union retaliation for this blow they were just dealt. I don't know how, when, or where, but there will be a retaliation. My guess would be that they will try to do something at the federal level to limit state's ability to stand up to unions. All unions, not just public sector.
oh for *sakes...that was supposed to say “over” not “of”.
We're all cheering for the *defeat* of public-sector unions. AND WE WON TONIGHT! I think you're looking for Democratic Underground....
You could be right. This is probably the part of the movie where the bad guys come back and make the villagers pay for helping the good guys run them out of town. It could get ugly.
Exactly what I’m thinking!

Google and keep an eye on Leo Gerard.
no no this is really a great victory for Obama!
Your title says it all...”The Victory???? of Public Sector Unions”????
Are you confusing/cross posting between forums?
I am in CA on famiy business. A salesman from Seattle was talking to us at breakfast, and we were explaining the situation in WI with the recall. When we outlined the union dispute, his face turned white. He said, “If your governor wins today, he needs to watch his back.” Basically, he meant that the unions weren’t going to take this lying down.

They'll try again. It's what they do. F'em.
Personally NOT going to worry about it.
THEY picked a fight, lost, got their noses figuratively speaking bloodied, and lost a ton of credibility. They are exposed as the thugs, and cowards they actually are, and they are now weakened.
Losing like this does that to bullies like them.
Maybe as early as tomorrow they will start looking for friends to help them in their sorrow. It will be interesting over the next few weeks to see who befriends them.
Public Service doesn't mean you're to be serviced by the public for life
President Kennedys Executive Order 10998, allowing Federal unions, is what opened the door for public sector unions at the state and local level, which is leading to bankruptcy from bloated public sector salaries, benefits, and retirement plans. Businesses that offered plans like many governments have would go bankrupt. Govt entities will, too, eventually, but it will be much more painful.
This is why unions should again be outlawed for public employees.
When collective bargaining was brought into American schools in the 1960s, it was a revenue stream and power base for Big Labor. Suddenly, union bosses became more interested in building political muscle than educating children.
At that point the battle between unions and school boards became more focused on salary, benefits, pensions and working conditions for adults, and less about students.
Kids are only pawns in the self-serving union game.
What is the purpose of teacher unions? To work for children? Establish new and better requirements? Push their members to better serve parents and children?
"Despite what some among us would like to believe, it is not because of our creative ideas. It is not because of the merit of our positions. It is not because we care about children. And it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them, the unions that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees" ...National Education Association's just-retired General Counsel Bob Chanin. (The NEA is the County and State Association's parent body).
NEA General Counsel Bob Chanin Says Farewell:
As legendary New York teachers union leader Albert Shanker said, "When school children start paying union dues, that's when I'll start representing the interests of school children."
All government unions should be banned. The idea that government workers need protection from guess who?? THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, is ridiculous. remember, teachers are government employees. Ban government unions.
It’s never over with libtard communists who believe they are entitled to things they are being denied.
If there’s one thing we learn we have to continually fight the libtards at every step.
It is always a running battle with them. If they lose at the state level they try to do it at the federal level. If they lose there then they try an end run through the court system. If they lose there they start working on stacking the courts.
This is their strength, they never give up. We on the other hand take a loss and abide by the will of the people.
Who do you mean ‘’we’’? I’m happy as hell they lost!
I am cheering for their REMOVAL completely.....they have no right to unionize AGAINST the people
The resolve on the people who voted for Walker was stronger than ever.
