I had to reply to the Miley Cyrus remark-some people are still mature enough to make a youthful marriage work, depending on their upbringing. That said, I’d rather see the girl married than being another dumb slut or getting into the jail-to-rehab loop for substance abuse.

Yes, apparently. But there are no sessions scheduled for the rest of the year before new elections this fall. And redistricting is supposed to help the GOP in the fall.
So they may call a special session and kick up a fuss, but they will have no way of getting anything done.

Weird - if she doesn’t drink she shouldn’t have had any reason to refuse the blood/breath test! In fact she should have insisted on it! But honestly, that photo of her should be proof enough that she drinks - what sober person under the age of 80 would put that color on her hair???

just read a headline that they did, but from what i understood last night, it won’t mean anything because they recess for the summer and there will be another election in the fall, this was just to finish out this term. so practically speaking it’s meaningless.

I’m sure he could, but the Dems only won control of the state senate, not the house. So they couldn’t pass anything through both houses anyway.

Correct. But I also read that they may have the power to convene for an “emergency” session. If they want to have some show votes and continue to display their immaturity.
I was explaining to my daughter yesterday and she couldn’t believe how childish they were. Especially when I told her how they ran away to another state.
