I am very happy with it.

I’ve got mine set up a bit differently than yours..I don’t like that red button thinngie on the top left so I made my menu like the old fashioned kind that ie had. Anyway, click your red O for the menu and look under view. That’s another way to get at the size.

You can also set it to open to the default to the size you choose. Go to the opera help web page and it will tell you everything you need to know about customizing this browser to your liking. You can do a LOT with it! You can customize things page by page too, and block what you don’t like.

You should know that Google is tracking everything you do when using Chrome and building their dossier on where you go etc.

Forewarned is forearmed

Also...quick keyboard trick...on your number pad, push the - (minus button) or the 0 (zero) to increase and/or decrease page size.

First off, congratulation's on taking the first step and getting rid of IE (Internet Explorer, Microsoft). :-)

As a Long time Opera user, all I can say is OPERA IS GREAT!!!!.

What you may not know is some of the short-cut key's. You will love that feature here is but a few.

Letter "Z" when pressed, will bring you back to the previously viewed page.

Letter "X" when pressed, will bring you / move you forward to the previously viewed page.

You can select the font you want to view web pages via: select "Settings" (From the upper left hand corner via the Opera Logo) then select "Preferences" {Short-cut"Ctrl+F12"}a window will pop up with 5 tabs / choice(s). "1.General," "2.Forms," "3.Search," "4.Webpages" "5.Advanced."

Use "4.Webpages" to select the font that makes you feel warm & fuzzy.

Another thing that I love is the "Speed Dial" short-cut "Ctrl+T," I forget what the default page looks like, but you can simply edit one or all of the square's with your favorite "web site(s)," via right-click on one of the squares, choose "edit," then fill in the "Address box" with the web site address.

I'm no expert, but if I can be of any help, go to "http://www.uewelding.com/" please put "Need Opera Help" in the subject line, and I'll try to meet your needs.

If you think that I'm flogging my web-site, think about it for a few second(s), maybe 10 people will even look at your post.

Just trying to help, I can remember how over whelming it is, to leave a browser that your familiar with.

Another short-cut key(s) for Opera is, rather than using the "slider" located bottom right, use "+" Plus Key to increase the viewing size, and or "-" Minus Key to decrease the viewing page.

Hope you enjoy your new freedom.

I've set my default "Search Page" to "Startpage Search Engine," they don't track you at all.

Two things ...

I could "create shortcut" with a right click drop down that isn't there4 anymore (I'd get a desktop icon) and IE sets the home page (always FR)

I suppose instead of home page I get the page with all those windows?

“I could change viewing font before in IE with drop down on the lower right ... that’s gone”

Actually it is there, and has 12 options instead of 2 in IE.

Right click on a menu bar, select Customize, Find the “Author Mode” button and place it on a menu bar of your choice.

Author Mode is much more extensive than the IE equivalent.

Get the Ghostery Plugin for Opera so you can browse safely. http://www.ghostery.com/download

Opera takes some time to get used to, but the streamlined shortcut keys are addictive in the long run.

What skin is everyone (anyone) using ?

I have a very simple and un-glamorous menu bar, but I see there are others

You can select the "Homepage" you want via: (From the upper left hand corner via the Opera Logo) then select "Settings," then select "Preferences" {short-cut Key(s) Ctrl-F12} a window will pop up with 5 tabs / choice(s). "1.General," "2.Forms," "3.Search," "4.Webpages" "5.Advanced."

Use "1.General," to select the "Startup" option you desire [1st] "Continue from last time," [2nd]"Continue saved sessions," [3rd]"Start with a home page," [4th] "Start with Speed Dial," [5th] "Show start-up dialog."

Use / select what makes you feel warm & fuzzy.

Personally I use [1st] "Continue from last time."

I've seen your other post, reference I believe the default "Speed Dial" page with the small windows. It is those small windows that you can edit (right click with a mouse) to different web-pages of your liking. Personally I only have my "Top Ten" programed, otherwise it's to my book marks.
