Many people in Germany are no longer able to pay their electricity bills. Skyrocketing electricity prices are making electricity unaffordable for a large number of Germans. The past year over 600,000 households had their power switched off in Germany because they cant afford the skyrocketing electric bills.(1)

But they feel good (for doing nothing for the environment). That’s what is important.
Coming soon to the Obamanation if we fail in November. (although I hear it could be happening in California this summer)
“Skyrocketing electricity prices are making electricity unaffordable for a large number of Germans.”
Which is exactly the point of the EnviroNazi agenda.
Your Electricity Bill is About to Necessarily Skyrocket [in USA]
They want us to live in caves.
“The governments planned energy transition was supposed to, among other things, produce environmentally friendly electricity. It turns out, however, that the power gap which was created by the shutdown of eight nuclear power stations, will be largely filled by brown coal.”
How ironic, no nukes = more coal. Stupid govt. results in more polution.
I wonder if government offices are charged the same rates.
Freezing human beings to death is an excellent way to reduce the population!
I do not see how the average increase in 3.5 % results in people not being able to pay their bill.
For example, if your bill was $100 and is now $103.50, there must be some other mitigating factor causing the you to not be able to pay it.
Just like the Japanese...they’ll be turning their nukes back on real soon. Most enviro-idiots like to talk green, until they have to start writing the checks to pay for it. Especially when many of the greenies lose their jobs, because manufacturing is chased out by high energy costs.
They never learn ...
years ago, Germany introduced a recycling campaign “The Dual System”. Instead of throwing away packaging materials (tins, plastic wrap, joghurt cups ...), they *wash* them then dispose of them in special yellow bags / containers. This is then taken to a recycling center / burned.
Sounds great and they became real masters at it in the hopes of saving money AND doing something for the environment!
Then the law of unintended consequences struck. The local refuse removal & disposal companies, which were paid by quantity / weight suddenly could not cover thier core operational expenses - SO they raised the rates. So now the Germans essentially have been hit twice - additional expense of separating & washing packaging AND additional costs for the removal & disposal of the “rest”.
Now - the electric companies are raising rates because they can’t cover thier core expenses due to the “we must save energy at all costs” meme. So now they pay more for thier light bulbs and most other products, pay additional taxes on energy consumption to stuff holes in the thier Social Security System AND the rates for electricity go UP.
Great Savings, coming to a country near you!
Cheap + plentiful energy = freedom.
And vice versa.
The only time I’ve heard of people washing packaging material for recycling was in satire (making fun of the over-the-topness of the whole concept). In the real world, not so much. (Though it’s probably true that a few nutty individuals would do that.)
WE? So you have figured out to vote for Virgil Goode, too?
4.5 Million people receive "Hartz IV" which is about 400 / month - prices and usage of course vary greatly, but I've seen published averages of between 80 & 100 / month ...
Like Phil Hartman's "Anal-Retentive Chef" on SNL.
A scene from the play-movie BECKET.
King Henry is caught out in a rainstorm and soaked. He and Becket go to a hovel hovel where King Henry makes demands.
Henry: I want fire and warmth!
Becket: You will find no fire here sire.
Henry: And why is that!
Becket: Each hovel is allowed two measures of wood a year. One stick more and they are hanged.
Henry: My edict?
Becket:Your edict sire.
Oh ita quite true - in fact it is even required and you can be fined if caught disposing of unwashed trash in the yellow bags / containers.
Vote for a lifelong democrat? Huh?
Someone please explain how Goode gets so much traction on a conservative website.
