Just caught Bob answering a question on the recent "Are you better off than you were four years ago poll." His answer went something like this:
"Look, four years ago was June, 2000. In June, 2000, the economy was doing well."
Not remembering what year it is might be a sign to cut out the martini breakfasts, Bob!
I just saw that. He said 4 years ago in 2000. Either he is drunk, high, or stupid. Was he drunk in an earlier episode?
Slurring his speech should catch the ire of the bosses for sure!
Beckel is an idiot mouthpiece for the radical left, but in his defense, getting the year wrong is not necessarily a sign of drinking. Hell, I don’t drink and there are times I don’t know what day it is. Sometimes the brain just short circuits.

But apart from that nitpick, I’ve gotta agree about his ultra-extreme obnoxiousness. I saw part of his appearance last night on Hannity, where he was incredibly rude to the mild-mannered and always polite Dennis Prager.
And not only was he highly disrepectful of Prager: Beckel went out of his way to diss the U. S. Constitution in terms that no doubt would have shocked even Ruth “Buzzy” Ginsberg!
I hadn’t thought until now that alcohol might explain Beckel’s over-the-top vituperation of last night — but yeah, he probably was drunk. Wonder what Prager will say about the incident today on the Prager radio show?
He completely repressed the Bush years.
If he wasn’t on there it would be called “The Four” and that would not allow them to use the “double entendre” of their time slot.

Can’t stand him or Alan Colmes. I suppose you have to have both viewpoints but I would think that you have guests with more integrity.

As much as I’d love to say that Beckel was both drunk and stupid, the truth is that he is a recovering alcoholic who seems to be working his program. I think he is obnoxious and he makes The Five unwatchable.
