Bruno's grocery store (in the south) has orange "EBT Approved" stickers on their fried chicken boxes and ready made foot long sandwiches in Mobile Al.
I called 1 877 247 4440 to complain.
Originally they were not valid for buying prepared foods. But the bureaucrats reversed that after studies showing today’s welfare recipient was too stupid to cook for themselves.
The sticker is probably just to prevent aggravating delays at the checkout as EBT customers are told all of the items in their cart that aren’t eligible.
C’mon baby, lets all rap it now:
It’s free, swipe you EBT!

ramen noodles will soften in tap water. I can start a fire with sticks and good thoughts.
Abolish min wage. As I said, we are at the end as a country.

“My EBT” by Mr. EBT
At my local Wal-mart, after the fried chicken has sat under the heat lamp for as long as its allowed, it gets repackaged, put in the fridge and sold as cold fried chicken. Since now it needs to be reheated, it is no longer prepared, and they let the customers know with a helpful EBT approved sign by the item.
Still costs just as much as the fresh though.
Of course if the food stamp program were run properly the only thing you could get is jugs of tap water and bags of the nutritional food substance you see getting handed out to starving children in the third world.
Strangely enough I would expect to save over 99% of the current budget and the poor here would be better fed. Eating less sugar (pop) and shortening (fried food) would improve the health of almost every EBT parasite I have seen.
KFC, McDonalds, BK, and Wendy’s all take EBT in some states.
A local (Topeka, KS) gas station sells chicken strips and other assorted junk food, with the ‘EBT approved’ sticker, at their hot lunch counter.
The trick is they keep them cold...you buy it with EBT...walk two feet to a microwave, and heat it up.
Presto - EBT buys hot food.
I have an EBT card, but it’s for child support that i get from my grandson’s mother. It’s not food stamps.
In MI, the arguing point for cooked food was for seniors who may have dementia/ Alzheimer’s, and cooking may be dangerous.
I’m wondering how they drive to get to KFC.
What's the number? The government? Don't expect any answer there. If it's for the store, well, I can't blame the poor store-owner for trying to drum up some business.
LoL, I think Red Bull is ebt approved, too..Considering the cost of my Red Bull habit weekly, maybe I should apply for Food Stamps.
BTW, I didn’t even know Bruno’s was still in business after the original Bruno died.
Energy drinks are not approved, in any state.
Delivery.
