No one died in Watergate.
That’s one difference.
Here’s another: the media cared about Watergate, and the reason they cared about it is because it offered a way to destroy a Repubican President.
This is obviously not the case with Fast and Furious.
Yep, a third rate burglary.
Worse than that, Nixon was en route to a 48 state annihilation of McGovern, so Watergate was as stupid and senseless as it was damaging. The only reason Carter was electable was because the public still wanted to punish the GOP over Watergate.
Just 100% senseless.
If you were around during Watergate, you will remember that the media claimed that someone did die in Watergate. E. Howard Hunt’s wife, Dorothy, was killed in a plane crash at the height of the investigation. Her purse contained in excess of $10,000 in cash, leading to conspiracy theories. No evidence though that the crash was anything but an accident. But the media portrayed it as a “death” attributable to Watergate.
The criminals in the old media aid and abet the criminals in the Democrat party all the time saying, “We didn’t kill those people or steal that money! We’re just covering for those other criminals that killed those people and stole that money.”
What most FReepers and conservatives are missing is this:
We only know about two murders (Terry & Zapata) due to firearms left at the scene.
We do not know how many murders of AMERICANS and US Law Enforcement officers were perpetrated and the firearms were not left at the scene for a trace.
There are over 2000 firearms in the hands of known murderers being used on nearly a daily basis to kill people.
The Mexican AG estimated over 200 Mexican citizens have been murdered by these firearms.
But we MUST keep making the point that more murders exist but just have not been linked.
What most FReepers and conservatives are missing is this:

That is true. They can only link F&F and other Project Gunrunner guns to crimes where the guns are recovered. If the killers survive and take their guns with them no link is made. Literally hundreds more may have been killed with F&F guns.
Every murder near the border should be considered suspicious!
You betcha! Until proven otherwise they are all F&F assisted murders. Those guns could be anywhere now for that matter.
Its also important to note that the recipients of these firearms are the most brutal, notorious killers in North America!
More brutal even than Al-Qaeda and Taliban terrorists. Also worth mentioning that these cartels are close to toppling the gov of Mexico and have killed over 56,000 people in the last six years. And our government arms them! That is State-sponsored terrorism on a par with anything N. Korea or Iran has done.
That is another example I love to use with liberals......how did they feel when Reagan armed the Contras? They wanted his head on a platter.
This is far, far worse because Americans are dying as a result.
I can see the comparison you’re making to make a point to a lib but the Contras were a political rebellion not a criminal syndicate so, yes, this is far worse. Of course a lib would not care about that distinction. Gotta keep it simple for them.
