ORLANDO, Fla. — George Zimmerman appears believable when he re-enacts for police what he says led to the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin, but some of his statements are questionable, lawyers who reviewed the footage said Thursday. Even a detective who interrogated the neighborhood watch leader pointed out inconsistencies in his story, particularly Zimmerman's claim that Martin punched him and slammed his head onto the ground when the teenager had no prior history of violence.
The video and audio tapes released by Zimmerman's attorney give Zimmerman's most detailed account yet of what led to the Feb. 26 shooting, but it still leaves unanswered whether the shooting was justified. The evidence was released almost a week before Zimmerman's second bond hearing on a second-degree murder charge, and on the heels of unflattering telephone calls capturing Zimmerman and his wife talking in code about using money collected for a defense fund to pay credit cards.
In one of the audio recordings, detective Chris Sereno asked Zimmerman whether he was profiling the black teen, a claim Martin's parents have made. "You know you are going to come under a lot of scrutiny for this," Sereno said. "Had this person been white, would you have felt the same way?" "Yes," said Zimmerman, who has a white father and Hispanic mother. Zimmerman claims he shot the unarmed 17-year-old Martin in self-defense, under Florida's "stand your ground" law.....

Also, how’s Zimmerman supposed to know what Trayvon’s “history” was? He never met him before and didn’t know him from Adam. Sounds like TM started establishing his “history” upside Z’s head on the night in question.
I don’t care what someone’s history is when they are currently, punching me to the ground, sitting on top of me, slaming my head on cement and looking at my gun while telling me I am going to die. hope Zimmerman did this reenactment in the presence of his attorney.Because he should have shut his damned mouth otherwise.
The P.D. in that community already proved it could not be impartial and the States Attorney was definetly biased against him.So he had nothing to gain and a lot to lose.
He better hope this reenactment doesn’t come back and bite him in the rearend.

And it is time for Gov Rick Scott and AG Pam Bondi to pull the plug on this case. If they do not...I will work to have them primaried out in 2014...or recalled sooner.

This is a straight up honest account given when he was sure that there were not going to be any charges.

Journalistic malpractice. If Martin had been pounding his head into the ground and looming over him then it is regular self-defense, not Stand Your Ground.
If he was a good citizen he would have asked Martin (between bounces of his head on the sidewalk) if he had any history violence. Prior to that night, I mean.

This is supremely idiotic. That is not an “inconsistency.” It may make Zimmerman’s story more likely to be believe had Martin an arm’s-length rap sheet. But all he has to answer is “Hey, I didn’t ask him for his criminal history when he was bashing my head.”

You do use profiling every day. When you are hiring a person, do you want someone that looks like a bum, or a neatly dressed person?
Well Trayvon was a member of an illegal mixed martial arts fight club, and his videos are now all over the internet.
The claim of “no history of violence” is damned well contradicted by internet video.
The first rule of fight club is “Don’t talk about fight club.” posting video of your bouts is even more stupid.
Is this detective so stupid to think that all fights and acts of violence make it into the history books at the local precinct. Unless GZ's injuries were self-administered, they came at the hands of someone who has a certain history of fighting with his fists.
Not to mention that at some point in their lives all known perpetrators of acts of violence commit one act of violence without having a prior history of violence. Doesn’t that cop know that?

Trayvon profiled himself when he attacked Zimmerman. Actually his parents profiled him when they named him "Trayvon".

That seems to be the prosecution’s case, as well. Neither they nor the legions of confused internet posters have any evidence whatsoever that Zimmerman started the fight. And, no, “profiling,” following, talking to him, and getting out of your truck do not count as starting a fight.
Hey Sereno, the blows were to the head, not the body. When you pummel somebody's face, you don't break ribs. You break noses and blacken eyes. He probably also had a concussion and didn't know it. The only thing inconsistent here are your stupid questions and that detective badge you're wearing.
The problem with that is that this was Zimmerman's ground not Martin's. Zimmerman lived there. Martin was a visitor, stranger, outsider coming into somebody else's living complex. As such he should tread more lightly. He didn't know anybody there and yet he acted like he owned the place.

That's simply a non-sequitur - whether Martin had such a history or not.
Unless you have proof of the statement, yes it is.

Where could that have been??? classroom? office? gymnasium? closet? There are few if any areas in a school that fit this description of being off-limit to students but still accessible to them, and especially fitting an infraction worthy of a ten day suspension.
But when you are trying to get on a bus without paying or permission from the bus driver, and when refused access, subsequently swing at him for telling you to get off, then that bus fits the description for his suspension.
The Trayvon family could set this issue and others to rest by unsealing his school records, but they won't because they have things about Trayvon that they want to hide.

I think this could explain why in most of his older pictures, Trayvon doesn’t smile or does so with his mouth closed. In his younger pictures he had a great smile and his teeth looked perfect. But he may have taken enough hits to the mouth while club fighting that he had broken teeth and had to have dental work done, as is seen in some of his older pictures, like this “undated” one on wikipedia:
